What is my perfect date? I break into Tiffany’s at midnight. Do I go for the vault? No, I go for the chandelier. It’s priceless. As I’m taking it down, a woman catches me. She tells me to stop. It’s her father’s business. She’s Tiffany. I say no. We make love all night. In the morning the cops come and I escape in one of their uniforms. I tell her to meet me in Mexico but I go to Canada. I don’t trust her. Besides, I like the cold. Thirty years later, I get a postcard. I have a son and he’s the chief of police. This is where the story gets interesting: I tell Tiffany to meet me in Paris, by the Trocadero. She’s been waiting for me all these years; she’s never taken another lover. I don’t care, I don’t show up. I go to Berlin. That’s where I stashed the chandelier.
1. An extended version of Peggy Carter’s funeral, with singing choir boys, a tearful Steve Rogers and a longer, alternate version of Sharon Carter’s speech with extra anecdotes but no mention of her “first thigh holster”.
2. An extended version of the after-funeral scene between Black Widow and Cap. This begins earlier than in the film, with Natasha talking about going back to Russia and putting flowers on her parents’ grave in a ‘life goes on’ sort of anecdote.
3. In the bar after the funeral, Cap and Falcon discuss retiring once the Sokovia Accords are signed. Sam says he’s used to being retired (as he was after his time in the army), but Steve - unsurprisingly - seems less enthusiastic.
4. Cap and Sharon have a hushed conversation about what is happening with the Accords, and they talk more about him taking some time off. Jeez guys, would you give Steve a break?
They continue their conversation to one side in the bar, and a bit of flirting going on. This does make the later kiss - you know, the one that outraged Stucky shippers everywhere - feel a little bit more natural.
5. Zemo listens to another (in hindsight) absolutely heartbreaking voicemail from his dead wife, and then stands up to meet Theo Broussard, the psychiatrist he is about to kill and impersonate to get some intimate time alone with the Winter Soldier.
6. Black Widow debriefs Black Panther after his arrest. They talk about his bulletproof costume and the Accords, and she calls him “a bit naïve”. They are interrupted by Everett Ross (aka Martin Freeman), who is being characteristically smug.
7. A short scene with unfinished effects has Cap and Winter Soldier working together to throw the shield around during the fight at Leipzig airport.
