ONLY FRIENDS: DREAM ON ; EPISODE 6
They literally did not let them fully do a fingerheart with a non-CP partner. What even is this. Anyway, I want them to make out in the play the exact way Jack showed Dean. Because that's what the director wants, right?
There's a clown 🤡 in this production and they ain't even in a circus 😂
Pete has the most innocent face in the bunch, but again I'm a suspicious B 🙃 the fact that he suddenly can treat his friends when they always split the bill even on his birthdays is enough to make my spidey senses tingly.
All I'm saying is, people should prolly introduce Pete to Boston and see what carnage those two can make lol
Lapsitting my beloved. (And the lean back to enjoy the view? Yesplz.)
ROBBED. AGAIN.
And, man, Boston out here getting the shit beat out of him by everyone, apparently. No kisses, only punches.
The 'so close but not close enough damnit' Boston Cinematic Universe. We are being robbed, y'all.
I did not know I needed Neo and Boom to kiss but now I do. I need this to happen.
I mean it shouldn't be a surprise; we should just let Neo kiss all the boys.
Wasn't someone keeping track, is First still the biggest boy kisser at GMMTV?
Neo Trai continuing to have chemisty with everyone under the fucking sun
Man really tried to manipulate the master-manipulator.
The thing is, when Dean mentioned the whole 'New Dean' bit in the last episode, he probably meant it in a 'morally better' (by societal standards, so no host work and all that outdated jazz) way, but the theme was very much 'become the Dean Jack deserves'.
And now with this – he's delivering exactly what he promised. Jack is getting the Dean his actions deserved.
Best part is, it is absolutely the professional thing to do. You go out and train for the skill your job demands. Here that skill is popularity, so Dean went and got popular however he could.
As far as seperating work and personal life goes, if Jack was looking at this with an exclusively professional lens, he would've been thrilled. Hes pissed precisely because he's not (also that kiss next week? Director kissing the actor as a 'demonstration'? Very unprofessional).
Jack is facing EVERY consequence, and it is a delight to see.
What I LOVE about Jack and Dean is that they know *exactly* how to manipulate the other person, *exactly* which buttons to press. It's there in how they talk to one another, there in how their bodies are around each other. The automatic gestures and caresses.
And it's why it's so shocking when Jack tries to kiss Dean...and Dean makes the choice to refuse.
Jack is falling back into old patterns and Dean? This is the new Dean.
@doublel27 pointed out to me the way the gays in OFDO had set up a guard around Dean and his host work which was immediately activated when Raffy trespassed.
In many ways, this friend group is a foil to the first season. They’re already broken and each aware of one another’s capabilities for manipulation, deception, and hypocrisy. Mew’s self-righteousness doesn’t fly here, and neither do outings or exclusion as punishments for sexual indiscretion, as Raffy’s learned. Whether by some queer solidarity, or for the sake of artistic value (and the sponsors it requires to produce it), or more likely a tangle of all of that, this group doesn’t forsake one another for the strings they have to pull to achieve their ambitions.
We’ll see if that all holds, of course, but for right now, Boston’s presence seems especially poignant. (And holy fuck Neo still knows how to embody every sharp, unholdable edge of this character!) He seems to have made his peace, but what a contrast to OFTS seeing a boyfriend not mad at his partner’s promiscuity (only at his refusal to ask for help) and a group of friends surrounding their friend when he’s outed like a heard of elephants around their children with their tusks out to defend against predators.
The in-fighting that comes afterward is only natural—friends and exes have their issues. That’s an internal affair. Throwing one of their own out to the wolves, however, is beyond the pale. My guess is Raffy’s leak has a much larger impact than his intended audience of the faculty group chat. Boy still has the mindset from last season’s gang: not a gay’s gay. The question is will he learn? Is it something worthy of learning? Or is the circle of queer protection too fragile to hold in this economy, too?
