2026 - 2025 - 2024 - 2023
in spite of it all, happy 2026 pride.
you can download current and past hi-res versions of these over at my ko-fi (ok to print for personal use): https://ko-fi.com/mxmorgan/shop/freedownloads
you can also snag shirts here which go to various orgs: https://mxmorgan.threadless.com/collections/pride
these get reposted a whole lot from here to reddit to twitter to tiktok and on and on, and i don't personally care whether or not i'm credited. i made these for everyone to use, enjoy, and find meaning in them. i appreciate folks who do credit me, but if able, please at least link to the threadless shop in the previous post - folks can get an official shirt where 90% of earnings go to trans led orgs focused on mental health (which is an important matter in general, but very personal to me) and not from a scam bot site selling AI-churned maga garbage where you probably won't get one anyway. i also suggest downloading the files from my ko-fi - they are free/PWYW and you can use them to make your own shirt, patch, embroidery project, whatever. tips are always nice, cuz i do like a pizza now and then, but never required for download.
final thought - breaking the pride tradition and more than likely won't make a new piece. the top one from TDOV is all i'm making this year. i have my focus on other projects currently and i don't want to force a poster design. these came from a specific head space and my current head space is Very Tired lmao so i wanna work on other things. đ
hi john winchester quick question - why did you leave salmondean alone in that motel room when you were hunting the shtriga? why would you need to? in the showâs lore - the shtriga works in annual cycles and goes through one town, ONE, each time. meaning that since the creature went after sam, presumably the motel was in the same town where the hunt was. so why did you need to leave the motel for days? where did you go? and moreover - we see in the ânowâ part of this episode that the shtriga isnât particular with the order of the children. sometimes it takes the youngest first (two queens kidâs family), sometimes the oldest (the lay me down to sleep girl from the start of the ep) - what was the plan if itâs gone after dean first? samâs how old here? four? five? you told dean to protect sam, but did you even think that dean mightâve been the first victim?
like basically all this is proof to me that john was using these kids as bait. he shows up pretty quickly when the shtrigaâs attacking sam, once he realizes deanâs hesitating (heâs 9). he told dean not to leave the room at all for anything (baitâs not much use if itâs not on the hook.) and probably watched as dean took a walk and didnât say anything. and then yelled at him later for putting sam in danger. and almost twenty years later dean is still blaming himself for all of it.
Yeah. Yeah. Also: as soon as the striga is gone he packs them up and leaves them with Pastor Jim. Which seems very much to indicate. That he had a safe place he could have dropped his children off at a momentâs notice while he hunted. the child killing monster. Instead of leaving them alone in the child-killing monsterâs neighbourhood, which is the course he chose, for some reason,
the thing about Faith is they literally heal Dean to humiliate him. his determined skepticism and disdain is a pronounced FEAR RESPONSE to the concept of God because of course concepts like 'hope' and 'faith' are fucking scary! faith makes you vulnerable. It makes you naked. Itâs inherently the practice of taking down your shield, doing a trust fall, showing your underbelly, risking absolute humiliation. Thatâs like, the whole point. and dean is s1 is all exoskeleton, he's Tough, nobody's allowed under his skin, and he gets soooo horribly twitchy around priests. he can't resist snarking at Roy bc this culty southern gothic bullshit is FREAKING HIM OUT. which is exactly why Roy picks him, because a skeptic is a satisfying convert, they want to forcibly tear his armor away in front of everybody, haha bet you believe in God now. it's a violation. he doesn't react with wonder, he reacts with HORROR, of COURSE, bc why do I deserve to live, why was the natural order disrupted for me, you did something to my body that I don't understand, you got under my skin, everyone was looking, this is humiliating. and then s4 happens.
T will not make you ugly, by the way. even if youâre feminine or a sub, you can take T and still be hot as hell. T makes you so fucking cute, not to mention confident. if youâre like me, it will make you feel more alive than youâve ever been. try it, just for a little bit. anyone who doesnât want you to doesnât really love you. be selfish. embrace hedonism. take the fucking shots.
youâre going to be sooo handsome.
so I got into grad school today with my shitty 2.8 gpa and the moral of the story is reblog those good luck posts for the love of god
okay so i just got my dream job??? a week after applying to it?? and now iâm thinkingâŠ.maybe this is the good luck post
âŠ..not even six hours later i got an offer of a well paying full time long-term job with free room and board in queens in nyc, allowing me independence and a way to escape an abusive situation and an unhealthy environment
likes charge reblogs cast, folks, this is the good luck post
i need all the help i can get for finals
Hey so
the last time I reblogged this post right before I got a great job, in a permanent work-from-home position, with benefits, retirement, and a salary literally 3x what I was making before, doing something I really like.Â
So you know.Â
This might be the real one, yâall.
I could use some luck
Idk if it's funnier if Zachariah made Dean Smith gay as a way to try and get Dean to cooperate by misguidedly trying to trigger some sort of internalized homophobia, as if showing him a more 'flamboyant' version of himself will make him go 'ew yucky can't turn into that' (didn't work) or if he never intended for Dean Smith to swing so hard into homosexuality and every time Dean Smith did something gay he's like 'wtf, I didn't make him do that??' because a Dean without the stress of hunting and the apocalypse and being the literal pillar that holds everything together can readily and easily explore his wants and desires, either scenario it just made Dean a more wistful yearner for what could have been and backfired because Zach is a Dean misunderstander through and through
"fun" fact:
prior authorization, if you've never heard of it, is your doctor asking your insurance to cover a prescription/procedure/what have you that they want to give their patient. the insurance company can decide that they don't wanna and deny authorization, forcing the patient to cover the cost themselves or cancel the prescription/procedure and continue dealing with whatever brought them to their doctor, without the treatment they need.
in other words, people with no medical degrees or experience can decide that you don't need medical care because profits, even if it would save your life - if you're not dying right this second, you're fine, right?
kiiiiiinda sounds like practicing medicine without a license to me, but what do i know? i'm sure those rich guys are so much smarter than me about how health works. totally not just profiting from people's suffering. noooo.
Prior authorizations are supposed to be handled by a doctor. Often, you have no one doing that or one doctor "reviewing" an unreasonable amount of cases and just rubberstamping thousands of cases a day. That's why one of the best ways to handle a PA being denied is to ask for the license number and name of the person who reviewed your request. In the US, this is information to which you are entitled.
Usually, rather than admit that they are breaking the law - which everybody fucking knows they're doing - they will then just approve your PA.
I highly recommend Matthew Cortland's Patreon for a lot of info on how to handle health insurance. They're a literal pro at health law in the US and a chronically ill person themself & for a couple of bucks a month, you get access to a huge archive full of how-to & disability/health news.
rewatching Captain America Civil War and seeing Steve kiss Sharon after finding out, at Peggyâs funeral, that sheâs Peggyâs niece
straight people are not okay!!!!
I took this screenshot from a post I reblogged from @avelera, and even though this was about Jayce/Victor from Arcane, Steve and Bucky were who I immediately thought of.
If that ain't the goddamn truth. And then M&M and the Russos were so grossed out by how even the straight audience was like "wow that's some powerful gay subtext right there" that in Avengers: Endgame they no homoed Stucky by sending Steve back to the 40s so he could marry Peggy. Sharon was still right there but they said nuh uh that's not good enough. We need Steve to abandon "his" Bucky in the future, and presumably the Bucky in the past/alternate timeline/whatever the fuck, who knows, not the people who wrote and directed the movie so he can make white Christian babies with Peggy like a good heterosexual, all while knowing his best friend was being tortured and brainwashed by Hydra. Anyways we should stop letting straight men make movies I think.
Someone has probably already made this comment on the post by @avelera (which I couldn't easily find), but this difference in understanding about what is the closest or most important non-blood relationship clearly comes down to misogyny and patriarchal gender roles. Obviously, the most important person in a woman's life (other than her children) has to be a man: her husband. Women's identities have traditionally been defined relative to their husband's; they change their name, become Mrs. Husband's Name, so of course that's the most important adult relationship for a woman. But does that mean that the most important person in a man's life is his wife? Of course not -- that would imply an equality that doesn't exist. The most important person in a man's life can't be a woman; your most important person should be an equal or a superior, not an inferior. The most important person in a man's life must also be a man -- but for a straight man, of course, that's not going to be a sexual or romantic relationship; it'll be a brotherhood of some kind, either a literal one, a "close as brothers" friendship, or brotherhood-in-arms (a comrade, a work partner).
This difference also corresponds with society's understanding of what a man's vs. a woman's purpose in life or most important activity is. Women are understood to be "made for love" (as Jo complains in the recent movie version of Little Women); their purpose is to find a romantic (and sexual, it is always implied) partner to devote themselves to, then to have children with that person and devote themselves to the children. But even if a man does get married and have children, that's not his purpose; some men might understand their purpose in terms of working to support their family, but many find their purpose in their work, beyond the financial support it may provide. Accordingly, their most important relationship may be with someone (most often a man) with whom they pursue that meaningful work (the brother-in-arms thing: think especially of police partners in crime/detective shows).
These two narratives can converge in fictions where a man and a woman are work partners -- most famously in The X-Files, but also other shows where close colleagues either get together (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Bones, Castle in the police genre; this also happens a lot in sci-fi/fantasy with people who constantly work together to save the world -- there are examples on Buffy, Angel, Babylon 5, The Expanse) or have a lot of romantic/sexual tension without actually getting together (Broadchurch, arguably Elementary, Janeway and Chakotay on Star Trek: Voyager). In these cases, the woman gets to be the most important person in the man's life as well as vice versa because she has proven herself to be his equal and participates in the work that gives his life meaning.
But of course there are also many (probably more) fictions where a male main character's comrade-in-arms, his closest partner in his purpose-giving work, is also a man. Women (straight or queer) see that relationship -- the most important person in your life, the person you'd sacrifice anything for -- and read it as romantic/sexual, because that's what we've been taught romantic relationships are supposed to be. Gay men read it as romantic/sexual because that's a salient possibility for them, and it's not a huge stretch. But straight cis men often don't see it, because (1) of course another man isn't a romantic/sexual option, and (2) of course another man is going to be the most important person in your life -- but what does that have to do with romance or sex?
Some straight men have become more aware of the possibility of their friendships being interpreted as romantic, which is why they're wary of showing too much overt affection for their friends, or feel compelled to say "no homo" if they do. But the persistence of the traditional dynamic can also explain the otherwise bizarre phenomenon of young men calling each other "gay" if they're seen as too devoted to their female romantic partner, which you would think is the opposite of being gay: it's considered effeminate to regard your romantic partner as the most important person in your life; only women are supposed to do that for their man -- and gay men too, by extension.
In 2025 Google Removed Pride Month From Their Calendar.
In response we shared a pay-what-you-can Google calendar integration full of queer history.
443 people added queer history to their calendar.
So we did it again for 2026...
Get off of google calender get off of google docs get off of microsoft office etc
Corperations cannot be trusted and care for no one.
I understand this sentiment entirely! I am right now working to get myself off Google Docs, and removing Google from my life as much as I can. I will say, that this rhetoric makes me think of the book drive I am running.
In my province, books are being banned in school libraries and there are two important responses to the situation. First we need people fighting to keep queer books in school libraries, because many children have no access to queer books outside of their school library. Second we need to start preserving queer literature in safe places. If we focus too much on only keeping queer books in school libraries, we run the risk of losing access to these books as a whole community in the event the government doesn't listen to our protests. If we focus too much on only preserving the books, then they will be available only to a specific sect of the community.
All of this to say, we need to leave Google behind where we can. But some of us have jobs that utilize Google in varying ways that we can't opt out of, or can't leave Google right yet for accessibility reasons. Google has specifically made it so it is hard to not use their services, so we need to have multiple responses. I think there is value in disentangling from Google, but I also think there is value in purposefully and aggressively maintaining queer history within the platform of Google.
So to summarize:
Skip Google for Research
As Google has worked to overtake the internet, its search algorithm has not just gotten worse. It has been designed to prioritize advertisers and popular pages often times excluding pages and content that better matches your search termsÂ
As a writer in need of information for my stories, I find this unacceptable. As a proponent of availability of information so the populace can actually educate itself, it is unforgivable.
Below is a concise list of useful research sites compiled by Edward Clark over on Facebook. I was familiar with some, but not all of these.
â
Google is so powerful that it âhidesâ other search systems from us. We just donât know the existence of most of them. Meanwhile, there are still a huge number of excellent searchers in the world who specialize in books, science, other smart information. Keep a list of sites you never heard of.
www.refseek.com - Academic Resource Search. More than a billion sources: encyclopedia, monographies, magazines.
www.worldcat.org - a search for the contents of 20 thousand worldwide libraries. Find out where lies the nearest rare book you need.
https://link.springer.com - access to more than 10 million scientific documents: books, articles, research protocols.
www.bioline.org.br is a library of scientific bioscience journals published in developing countries.
http://repec.org - volunteers from 102 countries have collected almost 4 million publications on economics and related science.
www.science.gov is an American state search engine on 2200+ scientific sites. More than 200 million articles are indexed.
www.pdfdrive.com is the largest website for free download of books in PDF format. Claiming over 225 million names.
www.base-search.net is one of the most powerful researches on academic studies texts. More than 100 million scientific documents, 70% of them are free
"Just because I'm right, doesn't mean I'm being helpful" is a vastly underrated thought process that I strongly encourage others to get comfortable with
john can never be satisfied with either of his sons because what he wants is completely different from what he needs. sam is the son that john wants, in theory: independent, stubborn, strong, matching his energy. but he will always be angry at sam because sam being this way prevents him from doing what john needs him to do, which is being a hunter who never questions an order, so john keeps yelling at him. and dean is the son that john needs: filling the role of wife for him and of mother for sam, taking care of the family, obeying any order without questioning it, not talking back, letting himself be used as bait and be sexualized or objectified if thatâs what the hunt demands, eager to please john. but john can never respect dean because he sees deanâs obedience and caregiving as degrading behavior lacking masculinity, so he keeps humiliating him
and of course this means they are both convinced the other one is johnâs favorite
In case anyone finds it helpful because mobility aids are horrifically expensive and inaccessibleâŠ
And for those people who have access to mobility devices but might benefit from a second chair they can abuse without risking expensive damageâŠ
Erik Kondo has made a website, Open Source Innovations, that details plans for DIY wheelchairs. These wheelchairs can be made from common materials like wood, plastic, and pvc. They are lightweight and can be custom fit to the user allowing from the same degree of movement you would get from a custom chair. And they are durable and easily repairable. (he has been stress testing his latest design by dropping it down stairs, dropping it out of a car, launching it across a driveway, and throwing it off a deck). Its 12lbs and I think he said its was in the $200 ish range for parts.
He also is working on cheap, open source, accessible designs for beach chairs, off road chairs, motorized attachments (think smart drive), and so on. Plus he skateboards in his wheelchair. Cool dude, helpful info, pass it on.
It's incredibly sad people have to resort to this, but it's a damn good resource. Use it. Spread awareness. Maybe one day people with physical disabilities won't need DIYs like this. But until then, reblog and share.
dean gets so stressed that jack is the son of lucifer like heâs not also the son of two republicans, which is arguably far worse.
