Sometimes I ask myself if Wesker ever woke up in the middle of the night, drenched in cold sweat, cringing so violently he almost snapped his own neck again, because he had a nightmare about how unbelievably embarrassing his death in RE1 was.

Like. Sir. You monologued, betrayed everyone, released a bioweapon, thought you had this grand villain arc going… and then got impaled straight through the stomach by the thing you thought you could control.

I’m convinced that’s the real reason Wesker keeps trying to kill him. Not revenge. Not ideology. Just pure, unfiltered humiliation. He cannot allow the one man who witnessed his most humbling moment to keep breathing.

Honestly? Valid. I get second-hand embarrassment just thinking about it. If I died like that in front of my coworker, I’d hunt him down too.
