Last stop for love.
'You're an idiot', she said. 'You're an idiot because you either don't know what you're letting walk out that door, or you do know and and you just don't care!' She paused just long enough to know that he would hesitate too long, allowing her to turn on her heel. And she was gone. He was an idiot he thought. His friends had always said she was too good for him, and he really liked that about her. He quickly gathered his things and paid for the coffee before following out the door. Was this to be a seminal moment in his life! He could just about see her in the distance, God she was beautiful, he thought. He thought about what he'd say, how he'd sweep her up in his arms and tell her everything she wanted to hear, tell her that he had decided not to be an idiot afterall. She'd smile and take him back. He was getting closer now. He thought in quick succession of the months and years of a shared future to come....houses...no, homes. Children, estate cars. These were not things he was at all opposed to. After all, he had to settle down sometime. Why not with her....she was....she was....oh God was she boring! He was almost directly behind her now. What was he doing! Abort! He ducked behind a large man at a bus stop just as she turned. Had she seen him he thought as he climbed onto the bus, not knowing where it was going. As he sat down he smiled to himself as he had just confirmed to himself he truly was an idiot.
