Being otherkin/fictionkin is not a choice

BEING OTHERKIN/FICTIONKIN IS NOT A FUCKING CHOICE
If it was do you really think there’d be people wishing they weren’t kin with something/someone?
On a related note, otherkin/fictionkin have nothing to do with gender either. Don’t try to throw that at me for an argument. One can be kin and trans/non-binary, but they’re not trans/non-binary because they’re kin.
“being otherkin/fictionkin is not a choice.”
Well, uh… oh, man. Where do I start.
It’s very obviously a choice. Do you ever wonder why nobody’s “kin” with uncool things. Everyone’s a wolf, a demon, a hot anime boy or an owl. Nobody’s a friggin’ trout, or a Mr. Meaty character, or George Carlin. If kin works like people say it does, where you just see a character once and know it’s you, there’d be a lot more fuckin’ people who were kin with less typically cool things.
And at this point, you really need to come to terms with the fact that people on this site use “kin” is used as an alternative term for just liking a character (’cause they gotta be special and like them more than anyone else on the site, of course!). People who over-simplify morally complex characters because they feel conflicted about how they’re written oftehn “kin” with them and say they don’t want to because they don’t like the canon version of a character.
Being otherkin or fictionkin is most certainly a choice , and it’s one a lot of you are going to be very embarassed about in a few years.

I wanna see someone that’s otherkin with a blobfish or that deep sea eel that looks like a G I A N T cock. - Mod Trevor
i like you guys LOL
Lots of people are kin with uncool animals and characters. They just don't talk about it that often because they tend to get a lot of hate.
