I’d rather not and I think your guy would have something to say if I did. Aw, Tio, it’s not that bad. You’re still the best looking guy I know, regardless of age. But if you think you’re sitting on your ass all day for your birthday, you’ve got another thing coming! Your ass is going to come get birthday cuddles from Sofia while I cook you up a nice birthday meal. What do you say? You know you want to say yes! 

Look who’s deciding to be a comedian now, hardy har har. It’s pretty bad, I don’t want to be a quarter of a century old, twenty four was bad enough. But I’ll take that compliment because it will make me feel better, so thank you. I had a feeling you or someone else was going to protest me and my ass sitting. I’m going to say yes, only because you make good food, but I may have to ask for it to be the day after my birthday. The old ball and chain normally likes to spend my birthday with me and I can’t say no to him, he’s too cute.

“Alright. Let’s sit.” James sighed before moving over the table and sitting down, taking a beer and opening it up before taking a long drink. “No, I don’t mind at all. Comfort food, it’s going to be what I need right now. Well that and you.” He told the other, rubbing his hand across the back of his neck as he looked at the other, “I don’t even know where to start.” He told the other, taking a fry and chewing on it in thought. “I guess I start from the beginning. When I was trying to decide what I wanted to do, going to college, taking up many majors and trying out different shit before dropping out I was in a relationship. He was a lot older than me, friend of the family and we just-… clicked I guess. His name was Jason.”

Elliott sat down, continuing to rest one hand on the others back and giving it a brush lightly as they ate. Right now Elliott wasn’t all that hungry, he was more concerned about the information that James had been keeping to himself for so long. Things he probably hadn’t even realised were something he should share. He just wanted to be there for him. “There’s no rush.” He said after a moment. Go from wherever you want to . We’ll work it out between us.” He told him comfortingly, pressing another kiss to his temple before falling silent to listen. “What did he do?”

“You’ve made all of my favorites?” He asked as he raised his eyebrow at the other, because he didn’t know whether it was out of pity or because Elliott wanted him to feel comfort when he was going to be talking about something uncomfortable. James paced a little as he thought about what he wanted to do until Elliott moved over to him to press a kiss to his lips, “I think talking first, or talking while eating will be best. If I sit on it for too long then I’ll chicken out.”

“Well I just thought you might enjoy them and if you are happy to talk and eat, lets go and sit down.” Elliott suggested, letting his hand move to brush against the others back, leading him over to the seating where all the food was set out. “I hope you didn’t mind. I just thought you might enjoy it.” Elliott commented, now feeling like perhaps he shouldn’t have done so.
