We never conversed much, outside of work. I’m not that surprised that you can’t recognize me.
Although, her tone is what bothered her. … Pekoyama was sharp— much like her blades. She should be able to realize whom she was… right? And yet, that was an honest question. Hiding her annoyance, Mukuro pulls off her wig one single motion— revealing her jet black hair which contrasted starkly with that pink hair before.
Her cool blue eyes met with Peko’s deep red one’s— countering that intimidating gaze with one of her own.
… It’s me, Mukuro. I don’t suppose you’ve gone and forgotten me already, huh?
She feigned friendliness with the swordswoman. In reality, these two hadn’t spoken much before. Mukuro had mostly dealt with Junko herself and seldom spoke one on one with any of her other fellow comrades.
She was a lone wolf by nature, after all.
What was this? Right before her the pigtailed girl had removed her explosion of strawberry blonde, expecting that with just that Peko would be able to recognize her. Is this a joke? Was she an actress from a play performance going on, or perhaps a rioter gone mad from the despair?
“I apologize, Mukuro, but I don’t believe we’ve met.”
“Perhaps you are confusing me for another?”
Though that seemed a little unlikely. Peko herself knew she wasn’t exactly of orthodox countenance - what with her silver french-twist braids and the sword she always carried around. Still, she couldn’t find another reason for her to feign recognition.
A look of surprise fills her face for but a moment before Mukuro begins to speak again. If you could call her next line a word that can be spoken, at any rate.
... Tch.
Narrowing her eyes, the smile on Mukuro's face curdles as soon as Peko begins speaking. ... This was just getting annoying.
But, it nags at her... it continuously nags at her. This tone that the swordswoman has... it's an honest one. ... A scarily honest one. ... Alright, perhaps it wasn't so scary-- but it was a bit disturbing. After all, if Pekoyama had somehow forgotten Mukuro...
... It was either an order from Junko, or...
Something else happened.
Pekoyama Peko, Super High School Level Swordswoman.
If you seriously believe me to be mistaking you for someone else, then you're an idiot.
Stop it with this nonsense already-- what's going on?
