Disparition Music on Night Vale

An ongoing project wherein I create track listings for Disparition music on Welcome to Night Vale episodes.

Some of these posts will have one or two of the tracks missing. There are a few reasons for this; Disparition may not have released the track online, or I may have overlooked the track when going through the SoundCloud page to find it. The posts will be as normal, but will have something similar to this one them:

1:50 - (?)

and will be tagged as “missing tracks”. If I find the track in the future, I will go back and edit the information into the post, and remove it from the “missing tracks” tag.

If anyone sees a missing track and can inform me of which song it is, don’t hesitate to message me about it. Or, for that matter, if I’ve put down incorrect information on a track listing.

i mentioned a year ago that i’d make a track listing if disparition every published the songs used in this episode, mostly new arrangements of staple songs, and tada~!

@wyrmfriend has brought it to my attention that the listing (with links to the songs) is on disparition’s website, right here. so go forth and listen!

okay so a) thank u v much for these!! they are appreciated

and b) i’ll take this opportunity to say that some of the timestamps on these old listings are innacurate, due to the fact that the intros to old night vale episodes have been edited by joseph fink! they now start with “thank you for listening through the night vale archives” or somesuch, and have more updated info on the show, and its really thrown the timing out. i’d love to go back and edit them but alas, im a busy person, and im far enough behind the present listings as it is, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hi! On Episode 12 (The Candidate), the Disparition track that sounds from 10:53 onwards is Succession, from their album "Neukrk". Thanks for the reference blog! It has really helped us out!

hey, quick interactive post, what are y’alls fave albums from disparition? or, if you dont have a fave album, favourite song? just curious. personally i love Transmutations and Granchia, and in terms of singles, Three Ghosts at Place Sainte-Scarbs is a favourite

Hey do you know the name of the song that they use in the outro now? It's like a tech version of the intro song, but I can't find it.

you know i really dont! i was hoping they might have released it in the last few months, but as far as i can tell, neither disparition nor joseph fink have put the new versions up online. i’ll keep an eye out for them tho

GUESS WHO’S ALIVE

the last six months have been a Test for me, and this blog fell waaaaaaaay back on the list of my priorities, but as promised, this blog is never abandoned!! i’ll be using today to make listings for all the episodes that have come out since i was last around, as well as going back and trying to source some more of the music in my “missing tracks” tag. ive already done this for my last post (76 - An Epilogue), which is now a complete listing! check that out if ur interested.
