luke skylark
knowing how han can be, it’s likely that a friendly war may come out of it. he smiles a bit at all the possibilities, and even the possibility of ed putting it into his writing. “i would give it a read,” he’ll support it wholeheartedly; always interested in what ed writes. he smile grows, which he does his best to hide by looking elsewhere. then comes an actual laugh. it’s light, but has his eyes crinkling. it’s real. “i’m not gonna make you wait outside for an hour,” looking back over, he rubs his eyes with another chuckle. “it’s alright, i doubt that rich would mind,” he assures with a single nod, even throwing in a bit of infrequent humour. truthfully, ed seems to bring out many things in luke. “anyway, three hands are better than one.”
NOT BEING ABLE TO HELP but notice that luke’s smile grows as they talk, ed felt all the more encouraged to push his own wit as they talked. he tends to be witty, usually coming natural, but he felt himself wanting to sprinkle more in. to impress luke, he decided was the reason. though another reason could be wanting to keep his smile going and to hear more laughs. “ then i might be fully encouraged to write it. ” he winked, already knowing how it would go. it would be short and less horror and more humor ( because he was fully capable of that too ). “ i would say it isn’t trouble and that i wouldn’t mind waiting outside, but i’d much rather be inside. and not because it’s cold outside. i’ve been told i do best in cold and maybe i’m inclined to agree. ” cold wasn’t much of a bother, but he was also never opposed to a snuggle in a blanket. ed laughed easily, starting with a low chuckle before it became a full-blown laugh, at luke’s joke. “ they are. but i feel like upwards of eight or nine hands might start to become a nuisance, so it might be good we'll stick to three. ” also if there were more around, it wouldn’t be just him and luke which was his goal anyway.
