Disrupteneur award of the week goes to Emily H. Turner who founded All Square. A restaurant that hires only people with criminal records.
To support chances of getting back to independant living, All Square offers classes for entrepreneuship and skill building. Not withouht challenges, launching the restaurant was a live lesson as Turner lackd prior experience in building a resturant business, but as with disruptions, quick learning is part of the game and obviously well played if we capture All Square's story on #fastCompny.
How to do more with your ideas in two easy steps: 1. Do what you can now, and 2. Identify what you don’t yet know https://t.co/Wu9YNcbrAC
“Your brain is encased in absolute blackness in the vault of your skull. It doesn’t see anything. All it knows are these little signals, and nothing else. And yet you perseve the world… Your brain is in the dark but your mind constructs light.” — David Eagleman
The first to combine ideas into system will gain a massive lead. When we resonance the future, we should look beyond imagining objects. We should imagine the whole system. Only in a system things get combined and knowledge it's created. The mobility space is a great example for lots of creativity that should be combined to a novel system in order to become truly effective. Ecosystems that will be able to orchestrate such systemic innovations will set the tone for things to come. To do so, coordination and collaboration is required through orchestrations of large industrial levers such as multinationals and countries. Top down support to frugal endeavors under an inspiring, integrative and imaginative visions, may be confusing as a concept, but it's the only way to orchestrate fast, effective and efficient transformations. Dealing with complexity requires rapid #design and #engineering skills. ➕ Disruption in Our Digital Era🖒🖒
Airbnb has always maintained it's about mums and dads renting out space in their homes for a modest profit, but a new analysis of the platform's public listings shows an explosion in entire homes and commercial properties on the platform.

That was amazing.. Developing innovation programs for effective disruption is an imperative .
Fear of innovation "Most companies today understand the need to innovate, but many struggle to do so. Not because they lack the talent or resources or motivation, but because they’re afraid." This is a quote from Forbes back in 2012, and its still (or even more) relevant today. To deal with fear, health organizations suggest the following. Take time out Breath through panic Face your fears Imagine the worst Look at the evidence Dont try to be perfect Visualize a happy place Talk about it Go back to basics Reward yourself Now be createive.. Here are 10 guidelines for developing a great innovation program Take time out Breath through panic Face your fears Imagine the worst Look at the evidence Dont try to be perfect Visualize a happy place Talk about it Go back to basics Reward yourself A good innovaiton program will reduce your fear of innovation

Disrupteneurs are very comfortable stepping into and out of the Fuzzy Front End of Innovaiton. For those who are less comfortable, Innovation programs are a great tool
Innovation is ubiquitous! Fantastic, now get ready for the next edge...
Innovation is ubiquitous, fantastic, get ready for the next edge. Effective and efficient creativity
After a decade and a half of hyper innovation buzz, everybody gets it - Innovation is the primary engine of growth. Organic and inorganic growth paths, are originated in some sort of innovation: radical, incremental, sustainable, transformative or disruptive.. name it. innovation is the booster of growth. But what is this innovation? ideas turned into achievements? well, not quite.. Innovation is a outcome of creative entrepreneurship. Why? because behind any innovation we'll find a creative initiative that was lucky enough or confident enough to transform into a real achievement. Which brings me back to the title of this post, when innovation (i.e. ideation to realization) is ubiquitous, innovative leaps are achieved by enhancement of creativity. Welcome to the era of strategic creativity. Where you're ability to lean your creativity without jeopardizing your achievements and bottom line contribution will determine success.
Are you strategically creative? do you master strategic creativity? Most changes are you're not, and that’s the best start, because the first thing to master strategic creativity is start practicing and seeing what should be optimized? ideation? conceptualization? exploration? experimentation? prototyping? validation? integration? In the next few years, your competitive advantage will not be determined by your ability to adopt best practices, but the ability to develop your own contextual practices. Those who wish to escape the strategic creativity disruption should start practicing now.

3 things that will help you bid on the right innovation. Brand, Implementation and design.
One of the most important lessons I've learned from forming a Band and from being an entrepreneur, was that in order to increase the prospects of successful innovation, 3 things must be taken into account from inception - Design, Implementation and Branding.
Innovation requires a good design (to align all components) , good implementation (to realize the design) and effective branding (to bring everybody on board, direct design and ensure implementation quality). In reality the innovation process of production is reversed and we b-i-d on innovation, consciously addressing its branding, implementation and design aspects.
Effective innovation begins with recognizing your brand conscious and communications. Stephen Covey described it as "begin with the end in mind", which means; get your guiding compass right, otherwise its impossible to make effective decision and keep on track towards the true objective of the effort. Brand consciousness is therefore - What guides your innovation?
To avoid execution gaps, implementation must be well thought through - which means, How is the innovation going to be realized? Mindful implementation means, taking into account not only enhancing factors such as knowledge, skills, resources but also inhibiting factors such as challenges, dilemmas, conflicts and constraints. The tricky thing about implementation is that in order to master it, we need to resist the urge to go and do it, but rather envision how we are going to do it.. which leads to the last thing to consider and the first thing to check - Design
We all experience design as an outcome. We look at things and think, “mmm, great design...”, but what enabled these great things to transform from idea to reality is great design in the meaning of a great plan or a scheme. “
Design describes and demonstrates how to introduce interventions into a system in order to create additional values”
Design is a tricky process that requires several iterations and the utilization of different tools and thinking modes, mostly because many of the challenges are yet to be realized. But if the brand consciousness and communications are acknowledged, and if the implementation is mindful (on both advantages and distractions) - chances are that an experienced professional will be able to design an effective innovation.
10 points on why creativity and innovation are exhausting
Creativity, and its poster child achievement - innovation, is promoted through repeated reiterations of thoughts, challenges, solution ideas, operative scansion's and execution tests.
There are 2 types of people: those who are interested in engaging in the above practices, and people who are intimidated from the said practices (for various reasons that i will write about one day). The second group is much larger than the first
Among the people who are interested in creative engagements, there are those who want to learn and excel and those who want to brag and demonstrate skills (obtained or pretended). The second group is much larger than the first.
As a result, most creative people will find themselves left to their own devices in attempts to promote initiatives that require more than minimum attention.
In addition to the effort needed to pursuit a challenge relatively independent, lack of experienced, or committed colleagues often results in isolated thinking.
Isolated thinking wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't so hard to evaluate. Lack of good feedback leads to under or over criticizing, of the achievements, which directly contribute to the number of iterations needed to succeed.
Creative innovations which are inherently challenging often include increased cognitive effort caused mainly by uncomplimentary creative space. Which acts as a self enhancing friction.
Environments which adopt and nurture creativity, are overtime becoming friction-less. Environments which doesn't embrace and nurture creativity, overtime become stagnant.
Creativity and innovation are rigorous, but this effort is what makes them eventually easy and flowing.
There are no miracle solutions. If it seems like there are, you're probably being tricked.
