The #artist Ariel Bustamante was in charge of sound design and editing of the first season of #distanciawebseries. In his work, Bustamante looks for ways to highlight the physical and cognitive dimensions of sound. Often, he combines architecture and sculpture with advanced media technology and scientific research. Camila Marambio es la codirectora de Distancia, la webserie que transporta a sus espectadores a la Patagonia chilena. En voz alta, de Carolina Saquel

“En voz alta reúne imágenes de cronologías diversas. Entre septiembre del 2011 y mayo del 2012, amparada en la idea de autorretrato y de lectura”

“Son fotografías 35 milímetros en blanco y negro de portadas de libros, revistas, documentos de espectáculos y catálogos de exposiciones que vi. Lecturas en general, algunas de las cuales fueron lecturas completas, otras a medias, otras leídas rápidamente y que me acompañaron durante esos meses. 

“Cada imagen es así como un “marcador” o “imagen clave” de esos recorridos urbanos e interurbanos, de un tramo de vida”.

Animada por esta idea de marcador y por los conceptos de retrato (y autorretrato), invité a cercanos a escoger un texto, a leerlo, a grabarlo y a relacionarlo con alguna imagen para identificar o anclar esa lectura. Posteriormente ese material sonoro y visual me fue enviado por correo electrónico. El conjunto de esas lecturas y sus imágenes constituye la pieza.

CAMILA MARAMBIO Co-directora de Distancia #CamilaMarambio es curadora de #Ensayos, y su trabajo con el programa ha sido representado en exposiciones en la Fundación de Arte #Kadist, París; el Instituto de Arte y Olefacción, Los Ángeles; Bruce High Quality Foundation, Nueva York; Puerto de Ideas, Valparaíso; Festival Cielos del Infinito, Puerto Williams, CL; Kurant, Noruega; y Psi # 22, Australia. Marambio, es candidata doctor en práctica curatorial en la Universidad Monash en Melbourne, Australia, recibió una maestría en arte moderno: estudios críticos en la Universidad de Columbia y otra en experimentos en arte y política en Science Po en París. Fue curadora asistente en Exit Art (NYC) en 2003/05, participó en el Programa Curatorial en el Appel Arts Center en Ámsterdam en 2006/07 y fue curadora en Matucana 100 (Santiago, CL) 2008/10.  Además Marambio tiene una practica como transformista que se ha presentado en nadaLokal en Vienna, Liquid Architecture en Melbourne, Institute of Modern Art en Brisbane, el Museo de la Solidaridad en Santiago, entre otros. CAROLINA SAQUEL Co-Directora de DISTANCIA Carolina Saquel es licenciada en Arte y ex Abogado.  El 2003 es seleccionada en Le Fresnoy, Francia, programa de residencia que apuesta al cruce entre arte contemporáneo y cine. Saquel utiliza la imagen en movimiento para alterar la percepción de la temporalidad de asuntos aparentemente banales y sin importancia. Gestos corporales, la historia de la pintura y sus géneros, la observación de la naturaleza despojada de presencia humana, referencias cinematográficas y documentales son algunos de los puntos de partida de su obra video. Su trabajo es parte de colecciones privadas y publicas y ha sido presentado en exposiciones personales y colectivas, en festivales de cine  y videoarte entre los cuales Espai 13, Fundació Joan Miró, Barcelona; Kadist Art Foundation, Paris;  Harbourfront Centre, Toronto, Canadá; Musée d’Art Moderne et Contemporain de Strasbourg; Grand Palais, Paris; Espace Culturel Louis Vuitton, Paris; Bloomberg Space, Londres; Württembergischer Kunstverein Stuttgart.
