back to my feyre archeron era. she's my number one sjm it girl always and forever
As another Feyre/ Feysand stan, what is your plan if ACOTAR 6/7 is another Nesta/Valkyries/Dusk Court focused book where Feyre is on the shelf, mostly absent, or portrayed negatively again in order to elevate Nesta as the new FMC? Will you leave the fandom? I feel like Iâll have to.
i'm killing myself in front of sjm to change the trajectory of her life forever
RYAN GOSLING I LOVE YOU RYAN GOSLING
SAME GIRL
WERE BACK. ELRIEL AND FEYSAND SISTERS RISE UP
GOOD MORNING my fellow feysand bitches my elriel sisters are we all alive????
in honor of feyre week, some FEYGOAT moments that i love (acotar-acomaf only)
STARTING OFF, feyre immediately confessing she was the one who killed the wolf when questioned by a beast. looked directly into his eyes too, no hesitation. many people would be scared here.
feyre showing compassion and empathy to a creature that she was brought up hating. one that belonged to a kind that enslaved her people, while she was kidnapped by a faerie currently. in his last moments, she chose to comfort him and show him kindness and that he was cared for.
feyre clocking tamlin and lucien after tamlin bit her the night before. "two faerie pigs wallowing in their own filth." WELL, SAY THAT QUEEN!
rhys goes to feyre for some sense of reprieve after being tortured and raped by amarantha. he's exhausted, and feyre can sense that, even though he has his guard up and has been a prick to her, she can still sense that there is something more laying beneath the surface. a part of her wants to jab back at him, and she easily could, but she feels an understanding between her and rhysand at this point. even if she doesn't like what he's done, feyre knows it's been for a larger purpose and she can see that being utm has taken a toll on him. FEYCOMPASSION! FEYEMPATHY!
i can't possibly sit here and list all the moments that show feyre's sensitive, compassionate nature. HOWEVER, this one will always get me. feyre knows what it's like to go hungry, to have no money to feed yourself and your family, and she goes out of her way to give the water wraith all of the jewelry she has on her. after, when tamlin is uppity about it, she stands by her decision to help the wraith out.
feyre all of acomaf is grappling with her ptsd from being utm (and her relationship with tamlin) this scene, where it really hits her and she's able to say it out loud, is so gripping to me. she's processing her choices under the mountain here, how she had to kill those two fae to save prythian. also, moments before, she is processing tamlin's lack of action under the mountain and how he reacted to her dying after, and the hurt that was caused by tamlin centering himself in her own trauma. here, cassian (and rhys) shows understanding to feyre that validates her experience.
this really encapsulates feyre's uniqueness. she's not just one thing. she's multifaceted, and layered. she's not some quippy, sword-slinging, and brash character. but she's not a soft, delicate, primrose either. it also has a seed of the loneliness and isolation she has experienced in her life before finding a home with the inner circle.
FEYRE KILLING THE ATTOR. WELL YES!!! WEDDINGS, GRADUATIONS, FUNERALS. EVERYONE KNOWS THIS SONG!
AND THE ULTIMATE MOTHER MOMENT! when this book came out and i read this, i sat at the edge of my seat, GAGGED and i was impatiently waiting for MONTHSSSS! THE ENEMIES SHE MADE WITH THIS DECISION! in the words of beyonce, YOU KNOW YOU THAT BITCH WHEN YOU CAUSE ALL THIS CONVERSATION!
this is not nearly all encompassing, but these are some of the most definitive moments of who feyre is to me!!!
âšHAPPY INTERNATIONAL FEYRE ARCHERON DAYâš
happiest of birthdays to the one and only queen of the acotar universe and of rhysand's heart, who will forever be remembered as an everlasting diva in romantasy history đđŠ

Am I the only one that finds it icky that people try to make gwyn into Nyxâs second mommy. There are headcanons and fics about gwyn babysitting nyx which are fine but are ooc. Thereâs absolutely no way Feyre would allow gwyn (whoâs a stranger to her) watch nyx by herself. The only way I can see gwyn getting close to nyx is if sheâs watching him with Nesta. I think people forget that gwyn and Rhys arenât even that close. Gwyn doesnât really have much of a connection with Rhys and Feyre and as such wonât be Nyxâs aunt. Just because sheâs Nestaâs âsisterâ doesnât mean Feyre and Rhys will automatically trust her with their sonâs life.
That being said, itâs the fics that degrade Feyre as a mother in order to prop up gwyn that are really icky to me. These fics often portray Feyre as a dumb illiterate girl who doesnât know the first thing about being a mother and needs gwyn (whoâs not even a mother and is only a few years older than Feyre) to teach her own to raise her own kid. Feyre knows how to read - her being illiterate for nineteen years isnât a character flaw but a sign of neglect and abuse she endured by her family. Feyre took care of her family - is still providing for her sisters btw - by the time she was fourteen. She was in charge of the money, food, and was even clothing her sisters. And Iâm supposed to believe that gwyn is going to teach her how to be a mother?
The fics of gwyn snatching baby nyx from feyreâs arms because gwynâs the only one that can calm him down, gwyn scolding feyre for being a terrible mother, while Rhys and Azriel applaud in the back are giving not like other girl vibes. Thereâs no way that Rhys would ever allow anyone to snatch his child from feyreâs arms. Thereâs no way Feyre would allow a random woman to do such a thing either. And thereâs no way gwyn would ever think to do anything like that.
Itâs funny to me that in most of these fics itâs feyreâs who portrayed as this terrible mother while Rhys is just trying to do his best (while somehow having time to confide in gwyn - because no one understands him as much as she does).
This isnât me hating on gwyn either. I think sheâs an awesome character. I just hate that she is used as a tool to degrade other women. I donât know maybe Iâm reading too much into it but ever since I saw a post saying gwyns going to teach both Feyre and nyx how to read and write (after making fun of Feyre for making nyx a card with misspelled words) I hated these headcanons and fics with a burning passion lol.
some gwyn stans have this hilariously parasocial vendetta against feyre and it honestly cracks me up sometimes
they try so hard to expand gwyn's relevancy beyond being azriel's friend (barely) and nesta's minion/replacement sister so they love creating these fantasies about feyre being a bumbling, incompetent wife and mother who can't do anything without gwyn's wise helping hand, to push their agenda that she's rhys' unlikely confidant and nyx's miracle worker baby sitter
mind you feyre doesn't even know she exists, rhys smiled at her (1) once and she all but giggled and melted onto the floor like a blushing schoolgirl. her being nesta's friend isn't reason enough for them to even hypothetically allow her anywhere near their baby.
but yeah sure gwyn is definitely rhys' bestieee, he trusts her with things wouldn't tell his literal wife and soulmate and she definitely teaches feyre to do basic shit feyre already knows how to do, including how to love and take care of the child that she literally fucking gave birth to. sure.
the acotar fandom's obsession with infantilizing feyre is so strange.
her frontal lobe is underdeveloped. she's too young and incompetent to rule a court and give orders to anyone. she's too young and naive to be a wife and a mother. she's still depicted as an "illiterate teenager" who paints and writes like a four year old in various fanarts and tiktoks.
like am i the only one seeing a pattern here? none of these things are even the slightest bit true, its always just backhanded "opinions" and jokes disguised as harmless fun.
feyre is a mature, consenting adult who carried her father and sisters through poverty, died to save her entire world and is now finding peace and fulfillment in starting a family of her own after years of loneliness and suffering, but all people do is look past that so they can frame her as this clueless child who doesn't realize how bad she is at everything she does, including her own lifelong passion.
it's always been weird as fuck around here but holy shit none of yall are right in the head
hewn city: you're less than your father who was fully fae because you're half-illyrian. we don't want illyrians in positions of power, nor women for that matter.
rhysand: too bad. anyway, here's my second and third in command, both women. and here's my war general and my spymaster, both illyrian men.
hewn city: we won't submit to you if you keep them.
rhysand: then you'll be banned from velaris.
the fandom: OH MY GOD RHYSAND DOESN'T CARE ABOUT THE PEOPLE OF HEWN CITY, HE'S A BAD LEADER!!!
illyrians: women are beneath us, they don't deserve their wings or to be warriors.
rhysand: actually, women can be warriors if they choose to be, and wing-clipping is now illegal and punishable under the laws of my court.
rhysand: *gets kidnapped for 50 years.*
illyrians: *go back to wing-clipping and breaking the law.*
the fandom: OH MY GOD RHYSAND DOESN'T CARE ABOUT ILLYRIAN WOMEN AND HE DOES NOTHING TO STOP WING-CLIPPING FROM HAPPENING!!
this fandom will NEVERRRRR make me feel bad for hewn city. they literally got what they wanted which is the freedom to be as wicked as they want. rhysand HONORS the ancestral treaty they have because heâs an honorable man.
if these people expect me to feel sympathy for no name bus drivers then maybe they shouldnât slut shame Mor for sleeping with a bastard and maybe they shouldnât hate lesser fae. maybe they shouldnât try to honor kill someone. iâm not gonna cry over a bunch of privileged white people!
I have a lot of conflicting feelings about Nesta that I donât discuss a lot online because itâs always either âsheâs a heinous bitchâ or âsheâs the greatest fmc to ever existsâ and I donât think either of these are necessarily true, especially not the latter lol. Iâve definitely found myself agreeing with Feyre stans in basically every argument made against Nesta because thereâs such little Feyre defense in the fandom. I do definitely empathize with Nesta for how she feels about herself because Iâve been there, but Iâll never be able to grace her complete forgiveness because she hasnât done anything to actually make up for the psychological abuse she inflicted on Feyre. Not once is there a sincere apology for what she did to her growing up, nor for how she speaks to her TODAY in canon.
The main criticism I have for sjmâs writing (bc some of you act like sheâs the worst writer to ever exist which is sooooo LOL to me but whatever) is how she approached Nesta in HOFAS. No I donât like acosf, and I think the book couldâve been way better than what it was but I think Sarah went into it with the idea of Iâm going to show Nestaâs trauma, give you the pov of someone who doesnât like Rhys (bc as someone who loves him, that perspective intrigued her), and introduce the plot that is to unfold in the remaining books. Some may think thatâs too gracious of me but if you think about it that way and read acosf she essentially hits all of those points. Whether I like the book or not, it did what she had seemed to set out to do. Liking it or not does not make her a bad writer, you just didnât like the direction she took it. I didnât, therefore itâs my least favorite book. Itâs that simple.
However with HOFAS, she lost me with Nesta once again. By the end of acosf I thought ok, this was a great turning point for her character and she seems like she could really become a better sister to not only Feyre, who again still deserves an apology, but also Elain. I mean she literally called her a fucking dog in a fit of anger when Elain was trying to extend a hand to her, and then never apologized. But in HOFAS, while yes her perception was from Bryceâs POV, she was STILL shit talking Rhys and Feyre. To Azriel and a fucking stranger. For NO reason. I felt so much whiplash when I read that because I just left with this feeling that this lady is never going to learn from her mistakes and sheâll never truly feel remorse for how she treats the sisters, the one who kept them alive, and the one who stood by her through everything.
Something that I feel a lot of Nesta stans gloss over when discussing her treatment of Feyre is that she explicitly states that when she hears the voices in her head criticizing her and telling her sheâs worthless, itâs Nestaâs voice she hearsâŠbecause Nesta was the one who used those words to cut her down, all because she was bitter that Feyre was the one who stood up and took care of the family. She felt undeserved resentment because she didnât do what Feyre could. As someone who had a mother that treated me the way Nesta treats Feyre, and as someone who is an older sister and would never in my life speak to my sister that way because I actually love her, I cannot get over this without some sort of sincere apology. And Feyre never got one. Women in this fandom will use the âIâve said awful things to my sister tooâ as an excuse and Iâm sorry but thatâs massive cope.
So basically I donât hate Nesta, I think she still has apologies that she needs to give especially to Feyre. Until that happens though, I as a reader cannot forgive her poor behavior, and HOFAS cemented that for me. In that book she doesnât appear to have made a lot of progress that I thought we would see post acosf, and I hope we see more of it in Elainâs book or in the final book. I donât need her to kiss Rhysâs ass, but I do expect her to show respect and love for her younger sister, who again, never did anything to warrant the abuse that Nesta inflicted on her. This series is still ongoing so we could see more change with her as time goes on, but at this point in the story I canât grant her a whole lot of grace.
I think a lot of people donât realize that Nesta and Elain, and Iâm not saying this to be rude, I am stating the facts, are not actual FMCs of this series. Just because they get one POV in one book, it does not make them co-leads of the series. This series is Feyreâs story, and her sisters are getting perspectives because, yes sjm wanted to expand on them as characters, but to also fulfill a prophecy that was alluded to in acomaf. Why else would they have been turned Fae? Itâs very simple lol. But again thatâs another convo.
Anyway I hope you guys can see where I am coming from. I know a lot of my mutuals will agree but yeah I am not going to call Nesta evil, but Iâm also not going to pretend as though she has showed genuine remorse for what sheâs done to Feyre. I will always defend Feyre first because yes she is my fave but because she deserves a fucking apology.
shein versions of rhys everywhere i turn
âazriel is canonically the most attractive in acotarâ âlucien is the mosy handsome in acotarâ âfloptron3000 is the most beautiful in acotarâ when you all know deep down itâs papa rhys who was not only described as the most beautiful man feyre has ever seen (but a lot of #yall donât listen to whatever feyre has to say unless it suits your narrative). heâs also been described as very good looking by characters from other universes as well as had many in-universe acotar characters get flustered over him/be attracted to him.
âwhen bus driver gets his redemption arc and we find out heâs been hiding a secret and his evil facade was a mask the whole time!â we read that already and most people who say this are going to hell for being mor/feyre antis btwđ
âxyz is going to be high king!â not in my world. not in the world iâm living inâŠ
the people want rhyscharm, rhysbeauty, rhysimpact for their faves so bad. no wonder they keep basing their faves personalities/backstories/arc predictions off of him
meanwhile, half of these people act like they hate rhys and yet look at the material they conjure up for their faves ⊠a lot of people do this with feyre too stealing her traits/aesthetics/powers/plot points while disregarding her importance in her own series.
"the night court is a corrupt apartheid state," they say in front of their 1.5k tiktok followers while trying desperately to sound like an intellectual with a minor in political science (they took 2 classes then dropped the course bc it was too much for their brain)
Feyre has big Boy Mom energy.
Not like, âOMG MY SON IS MY LITTLE BOYFRIEND NO WOMAN WILL BE ENOUGH FOR HIMâ Boy Mom
More along the lines of âPlease try to avoid more blood on that rug I just got it cleanedâ and âYes I know farting in your brothers face is funny, but we just got over Pink eyeâ
YES YES THIS EXACTLY
feyre is a boy mom but she's more of a seasoned, no nonsense "unfazed by the chaos that comes with parenting a boy" kinda boy mom, not a "emotionally incestous freak who's way too obsessed with her son" kinda boy mom yk what i mean??
inner circle haters bringing up real world politics in their 700 page long dissertations on why the ic are bad people never fails to make me laugh. these are fictional books about sexy immortal faeries lovin and fuckin and saving the world through the power of friendship and true love. i aint reading all that you sound like a fool
