Age Tooltips & Epitaphs
Hi! This mod adds age info to your sims' and pets' names and cause of death to their gravestones. There are a few versions, get the "inDaysTillNextAge" if you don't feel like tweaking BCONs to match this mod to your age span
When you hover over a sim, it will say - "Edward Green, 10 days to adult" for teens, or - "Edward Gray, 85 days old" for elders, or simply - "Edward Grown, 21" if you get the "inYears" version When you hover over a tombstone, it will say - "Here Lies Edward Growl, Died of Hunger", or - "Here Lies Edward Groom, Dearly Beloved" if you decide on a random epitaph, or - "Here Lies Edwardina Grim, Died in Childbirth", which is also something you can pick
The mod is triggered by aging and dying. When you first install it, you want to buy the black cube with white plaque for §0 in Misc/Misc section and set up the neighborhood so you don't have to wait for everyone's tooltips to update naturally
Age The age part only affects playable sims and pets, skipping townies, NPCs, bigfoot, robots, witches and zombies. Some of these restrictions are BCON configurable
Epitaphs Death doesn't discriminate: townies and servos may also get epitaphs if you let them. This part is the same in all versions. How it works. When a sim dies, you see a pop-up asking you if you would like to add a caption to their gravestone. If you say yes, the choice is between their true death type, custom death type like "killed in a fight", or random epitaph like "rest in peace"
My fave side feature is to customize the number on elder's age bar where it says "Is X days old" on UI panel regardless of aging mod
Please see the AgeTooltips.txt for full description, if you decide to get one of the "inYears" versions, because those are sensitive to your age span arrangement, and you may need some tips on how to edit. There's also a bit for modders on how to call tooltip update from your own code
Get AgeTooltips from Folder Requires Apartment Life or Mansion & Garden If you have files from testing, please remove them
If you use my YA maternity mods, get updated Uni_aging here, if haven't already. If you use Meduza's versions of Uni_aging, there are updated files in the folder. If you use BO-SlowAging or Midge's version, there are compatibility patches in the folder as well
Thank you-s 🧡 @sims2idea for Dutch translation @freezerbunny-sims2 for Spanish translation @mateushp-s2 for Brazilian Portuguese translation @spikeseyeliner for Russian translation @vegan-kaktus for Swedish translation @barbiepinklady for French translation @picknmixsims for the idea on how to do InYears_Specific version @tvickiesims for the epitaphs idea
I made the Cube after people finished translating the mod, some parts of it may not be translated yet, it may be done later
Some extra pics. The Cube, a random epitaph, and Edward, the very first testing sim for this mod :)
homecoming.
This is a really nice hair that gives off a quite natural look, whether it’s for a sleepover or a nature girl vibe, but I never realized how wide it looked on the regular sims head which leaves an interesting space between the head and hair, so now the edit here is modernized and hopefully more usable in the long run <3

Car Interactions

No matter where your Sims are headed, be it a fun road trip, a lively party at a friend's house, or a visit to relatives who might be short on beds, the car is always part of the adventure. This mod adds a few more interactions to vehicles: Sims can sit in the car, take a nap, or turn the headlights on whenever they feel like it.
Features: - Sit in the car: Sims can sit in any seat, driver's or passenger's, and just relax for a while. Fun goes up while they're inside. - Nap in the car: Sims can take a nap in the parked car (or even in a moving one, if they're a passenger), slowly restoring energy with a custom sleeping animation. - Toggle headlights: You can turn the headlights of a parked car on or off. They stay on until you switch them off or someone drives the car. - Traits matter: Sims with the "Vehicle Enthusiast", "Adventurous", or "Loves the Outdoors" traits get better rest from car naps and won't wake up with a sore back. Sims without these traits aren't always so lucky All credit to LORHANDAGOTH
gary: honestly, the mona lisa is overrated. i can do better rowan: you can't say that gary they're going to revoke your degree
