You suffer because you expect love to come back in ways familiar to your heart, in shapes recognizable to your hands, in forms accustomed to your eyes. You're in pain not just because you're unloved, but because you're waiting for love to return in the exact form it left. You’re holding onto a specific image of love, how it once looked, felt, or sounded, rather than allowing it to come to you in new, unfamiliar, or even unexpected ways. Maybe it's there. It always has been. But you deny to acknowledge its presence just because it's not as per your expectations.
