Farewell to a Graveyard. When I first heard tell That my highschool was closing its doors I felt an odd sort of grief I could not place. The venue in which I spent The majority of my teenage years Would soon be nothing but ash And awful memories Farewell to the bandroom The place I would find my peace Even if it meant Crying in the bathroom. I’m pretty sure theres still a broken light From when my friend threw his flag So high It hit the cieling And we laughed And ran So nobody would know it was us (but the band teacher always knew). Farewell to the stage Where I made my acting debut The place where most of my memories live And the same place  I fantasised Many a suicide attempt During tech week every year. Farewell to the parking lot Where I almost kissed The boy I loved But didnt. I’ve always wondered What would have happened If I had. Farewell to the place That killed the girl I once was. The place where my ghost Still haunts the vacant hallways I havent seen her since But when revisiting the halls Could not shake the smell of blood.
