King Crimson allows Diavolo to avoid his own fate (which he predicts via Epitaph), while everyone else is forced to follow theirs.

Imagine Diavolo is in a shootout. He predicts what will happen next. In his prediction, he peeks out from behind a wall and wounds his opponent, but his opponent manages to shoot back at him.

King Crimson enables him to say “naw, fuck that shit” and stay safely hidden behind the wall instead. When the time in which his opponent was meant to get shot, he immediately receives a bullet wound (kinda like how Bites the Dust kills people after time is rewound), while Diavolo himself stays unharmed

That said, being able to make Buccelati punch himself is Araki being Araki and there’s no explanation I can find for it.
