1) lister IS bisexual he just is - rimmer is also some flavour of bisexual but in the way where he's like "everyone fantasies about the same gender but you just have to ignore it" and then ace rimmer is blatantly bisexual but doesn't label himself. Cat is difficult for me (i think bc he's my favourite), i think he's just so eager for attention he'd love to be with anyone but he wouldn't explicitly label himself or talk about attraction to men (if it's not been brought up in conversation), however i think sexuality in the cat society is fluid but then socially restricted by their learning from the human society. Kryten is automatically asexual but can experience romantic feelings (he DOES have a crush on lister). holly is in the same boat, but he can interact sexually with other computers. kochanski is het, but explored unashamedly with women.
2) lister - late teens, rimmer - after talking with ace (who respectively realised in his early 20s), cat - always been that way and never put thought on it, kryten/holly - once breaking preprogramming and going senile respectively, kochanski - after university sort of age

4) lister - usual but maybe his less stained shirts and DEFINITELY his battle (?) jacket, rimmer - possibly some sort of ironic shirt referencing lister's sexuality and how he's just there for him, cat - ALL out, just the most insane outfit (feels upstaged by drag queens)
5) tbh no to this as well 😭, maybe lister might have something as a joke gifted to him by his friends, but i don't see them seeking out merchandise
6) honestly, i'm unsure about what music lister would listen to- my first thought was The Only Time by NIN tbh 😭, rimmer would never but he would yell careless whisper/father figure after some drinks, cat's would be lovesexy/diamonds and pearls (tbh i dont think any of these songs are queer anthems except careless whisper but yk)
7) n/a but i think cat's drag name would be some bullshit fish pun i'm not clever enough to make up rn 😭
8) lister - either kochanski or possibly his granny, then after testing the waters with them, his friends (like peterson etc), rimmer - ace, i don't think he'd be able to confide in anyone else, cat - lister but unintentionally, kryten - lister (confessing his romantic feelings for him)
9) i just don't see lister being ftm man i'm sorry guys 😔, similarly with rimmer being mtf (although i see it more). although i recognise with lister as being just genuinely disgusting and the reaction people give you as afab, i think he's just not trans, especially with how he comments on his genderswapped versions behaviour (and the deadly episode of krytie tv and how he treats kochanski i will NEVER forgive you for that)
