Oh no, she really didn’t mean to startle the other. The fox gives her an apologetic look immediately, taking a little step backwards to give the other space, just in case she was too close. Given they are from different regions, Ahri isn’t quite sure how the other would perceive being approached like this.
However, Kayle’s expression and demeanor quickly soothe her worries. Obviously the other isn’t upset, so that’s a good start. Next up is the task to break down the language barrier between them. A problem to which Kayle clearly already has a solution.
Ahri’s eyes light up and she sets down her small basket to allow her hands to form words in return. She didn’t expect the other to know RSL, something she herself studied for an acting role. But it definitely worked as a means of communication. “Sounds great! We should go somewhere else though, I think. It might attract attention.”
She gestures in the direction of the exit. “Would you mind helping me find the last items first? I’m not used to this kind of store.” She holds out her list, only on second thought realising, that it’s in Korean and probably of no use for the other musician.
“Right, sorry. I need soy milk, heavy cream and rice flour.”
A delighted grin crosses her expression. It’s not often she meets another celebrity who knows RSL. She could probably count on one hand the number of people who do that she knows. So this is pretty awesome, and it takes away the barrier between them.
“Of course, you can put your basket in my cart and we can find the items we need.” The question of what Ahri needs is on the tip of the tongue, when the list is offered to her. She stares blankly at it. Unable to make heads or tales of the neat characters in front of her.
When Ahri, seemingly abashed withdraws it and returns to signing Kayle has to smother the cute aggression that hits her like a truck. “Don’t worry about it. I know just where they are, and luckily they’re close to what I need as well”
Speaking, thinking- of things she needs, she’s pretty sure there’s something- Ah, there it is. Kayle picks up two can’s that she’s about to toss into the cart, before she remembers she told Ahri to put her basket in there and it’s rude to toss stuff on top of other peoples stuff. So instead she turns around and places them inside.
The quicker they can leave the better. More so because Kayle being in any place is a ticking time bomb before people start noticing her. She wouldn’t trade her wings for the world, but she wishes she could hide them sometimes. Though- Perhaps it’s better that she can’t she is after all having a conversation with Ahri because of it.
