Started off as a doodle but I took a liking to how it turns out and decided to polished it till the end! I enjoyed drawing this piece so much!

Yao Guang Headcanons:

I was gazing respectfully at Yao Guang in the game again, (as one does), when I really noticed her hair.

The ends of her hair curve and resemble peacock feathers.

Now, this is probably simply some really talented hairstylists doing, and there is something amusing in Yao Guang committing to the bit of her peacock theme so hard she even styled her hair after it.

But!

It is much more fun to think up alternate explanations.

And one such fun explanation I have thought of is thus:

It's all Aha's fault. But not directly.

Aha was having some fun sowing Elation coughchaoscough and some game like traps, (Trap like games? Game traps.) got left behind.

Either a random planet Yao Guang visited for Reasons, or somewhere on a kinda outta the way place on the Xianzhou.

Yao Guang noticed that something was off and decided to Investigate. Because curiosity and also she is a General. It is her responsibility to protect her people and she takes that very seriously.

So she investigates and has a Smol series of relatively harmless shenanigans. Gets transported into a Little pocket dimension Aha created specifically for this. Lots of sparkling lights and an illusion of Aha taunting people as they make their way through the Glitter Gauntlet. Maybe she even has fun.

And one of the things that happen within this pocket dimensional trap, is that her hair fully becomes a peacocks tail. Like, full spread of Peacock Tail attached to her head.

It makes it difficult to maneuver, but she prevails because she is stubborn and badass.

And when she eventually beats the game/trap, and gets out of the pocket dimension, her hair is once again hair but the ends are still peacock feathers.

They feel like hair, but look like feathers.

And then Yao Guang gets Really Amused about it, and that's when she decides to really commit to the peacock bit.

DivineMoon Headcanon:

Feixiao and Yao Guang teasingly refer to each other as "my wife."

They're not married, (mostly because they simply cannot find the time), but it's a hopeful what if for the future.
