really dig how they sprinkle in these moments of damian being particularly protective towards kids. i know itās partially āgood guy is doing good thingsā that Iām saying here but I do really enjoy the idea of damian easily recognizing and understanding victimhood in his peers but not being able to/refusing to/not finding it in himself.
At this point I'm simply tired of people calling Damian a nepo-baby because if you actually read the comics, which most people didn't apparently, you would know at least half of DC hate this child to an unreasonable degree.
Like...how do you look at a non-white child that DC uses to discredit his parents long romance, that Bruce needed to meet three times until he was allowed to join the household (which they didn't show), who got killed by Bruce's actions and even after reviving him got abandoned by him and blamed for Alfred's death (when he only exactly followed Bruce's orders) and to this day gets treated like a problematic burden by Batman writers and think: Oh yeah, this is the poster-child of nepotism. Doesn't matter that Bruce openly dislikes this child and refuses to take responsibilty in a lot if not most stories.
Steph and Damian have the relationship in comics that people believe Tim and Damian have.
Steph is probably one of the first in the bat-family to actually treat Damian as what he is: a ten year old boy. Not as a weapon or as a danger to everyone around him.
Look how she reacts when she realizes Damian doesnāt know how to be a child!

tim drake is supported for things jason todd is punished for, and jason todd is supported for things damian wayne is punished for, and then damian is belittled for "attacking" tim when tim was the adult in the situation, and jason is hated for attacking "baby" tim when they were the same age in the situation. never ending cycle where the whole time damian wayne is unarguably the best person out of all of them and also we should kill tim drake who's with me
