“D'awww…it’s so sweet of you to take time out of your busy schedule to check up on the boys! I doubt they’d get bored of you, considering that there’s so much to catch up on and even more to create! Oh, Dumas wouldn’t mind being attached to you by the hip! Hehehe…”

At that, he couldn’t  help but snicker.

                “My schedule’s not as busy as it used to be.” In the past, maybe he would have spun it in a different light, said that he was always in the spotlight and always in-demand, but now, he was beginning to make peace with being far more removed from the public eye than he had been for the majority of his life. Beginning to. “Tell the kid to gimme a call sometime, he can swing by and see what life at the studio’s like. Maybe he could even sit in on one’ve them dumb writer’s meetings WB always forces Bugs and me into— I can use all the laughs I can get at those things…” He rolled his eyes, though the smirk never left his face. “You oughtta drop by too sometime, now that I’m thinkin’ about it! When’s the last time you’ve seen everyone?”

"Ahh...I suppose that's true. Disney sure knows how to keep the spotlight to themselves. Don't worry, sweetheart. You'll get back in the spotlight in no time."

Doris nods, already in in process of sending Dumas a text message.

"He'd love that! It'd mean so much to him...he's wanted to meet everyone for so long. Dumas used to practice what he was going to say to them when he finally meets them in person! Though...actually, it wasn't really all too long ago. Just last week! Heh, he's still so naive and optimistic. I love him so much!"

She chuckles, leaning closer to Daffy.

"That doesn't sound too bad. It's felt like forever since I've seen everyone. I think they were still in black and white the last time I saw them! I'd be surprised if they even remember me."

                 “Hah! I can do better than that! How about a weekly call? A daily call?! An hourly call!?!” Okay, maybe that was pushing it, but he had to admit, there was something inherently rewarding about getting to know his family. Could it be that he was finally feeling— fulfilled? “Hopefully they don’t get bored of me.”
