Greetings cephalopods and other evolved marine life. I am DJ Legacy, an underground artist that takes messages of the past and share their wisdom with the citizens of today.

You may have found my work on splatify. I do not advertise myself, I simply let people find my works. But today, I make my first public appearance on chumblr. This decision was not made lightly, as I do not wish for my identity to be made public. It was found necessary though. For the state of the world requires me to speak up.

The fate of our world is uncertain. A unavoidable war was started by our own hands. The end looms over the horizon. Now is not the time to panic. Now is not the time to coward and allow fear to consume you. We all have a role to play on this planet, and we must not let anyone take it from us.

I will provide more information on this situation as it becomes necessary, so please keep your eyes out.

This situation will not end when you think it will. This situation is more complicated than either side knows it is.

Update: Power has been coming back on slowly in Splatsville. It’s predicted that Inkopolis will take a little more time to boot back up, but it should be by tomorrow afternoon.

Attention Inkfish of the land:

As you all know, Big Run will begin around sunset tonight. But as the media has shown, the location of this run is uncertain.

I am here to provide clarification for what is happening tonight.

The Salmonid Tribes loyal to the cycle of life will be continuing their pilgrimage to Inkblot Academy. This is roughly about 75% of the Salmonid Army, meaning most Grizzco employees will be deployed there.

The Salmonid Tribes loyal to Mitralypsis will be attacking Wahoo World, in the final step to summon the doomsday fish. This is roughly 25% of the Salmonid Army, but do not take this as an easy target, these Salmonids are willing to do anything to bring the end of the world. Please avoid Wahoo World at all costs unless you are a highly trained salmon runner. If you are not assigned to Wahoo World by Grizzco’s management, DO NOT GO TO WAHOO WORLD.

For civilians who won’t be on the frontlines of this conflict; do not panic. While it may look scary, I assure you that all the pieces have been put into place for our victory. We are not hopeless. We can win this.

Expect power outages around both Inkopolis and Splatsville. Keep a power bank charged for your shellphone and keep a bag of important documents and belongings in the low chance of evacuation.

I am DJ Legacy. I wanted to talk to you about the… Big Run situation.

I know things really got thrown on their heads last night with Deep Cut’s announcement, and from your post about it, it seems like it was a surprise for even some Salmonids who were under the impression that the Big Run was at Inkblot.

Have you been in contact with them, or your friend Lee since?

We're all still confused about where the Big Run is taking place.

Lee is sure that it'll happen at Inkblot. I've talked with a few of their Salmonid friends, and they say that they think the same. Of course, they said I shouldn't listen to them because they don't plan on participating. The clan Lee stays with is quite non-violent and accepting, they don't do any fighting against Grizzco.

My current hypothesis after talking to a retired steel eel pilot is that the clans associated with Mitralypsis are planning to attack Wahoo World and those who aren’t on Mitralypsis’s side… have been left aside and still believe that they’re all going to Inkblot.

But because Mitralypsis’s presence is so large, that the Grizzco trackers were able to pick up the major shift to Wahoo World and react accordingly.

I believe that they deserve this knowledge, to know that the cult of Mitralypsis is doing these things.

The action they should take is completely up to them. Whether they’ll just decide to attack Wahoo World or stick to their pans with Inkblot.

If you can share this information to your Salmonid friends, trying to get this information as far across Salmonid Waters as possible.

I’m DJ Legacy, I’m trying to figure out more information about the current Big Run situation.

Are you a member of a tribe that’s active in the Big Run battles?

My tribe does participate. A lot of us work some machinery and the ones that don’t? They pick up their pans and help too. While we aren’t as big of a presence as some, we definitely always send some out. I personally have participated awhile back and even when I’m more active on the battle field I spend time on the side helping to repair stuff for others. This will be my first one in a bit.

Cyclone messaged me about the miscommunication. It’s very dangerous for something like that to circulate. We are going to inkblot.

I’m… very worried. I can feel everything shifting. When is it going to erupt?

Going to try not to ramble too much. I’m not myself these days.

So… what I’ve found out is that the whole Wahoo World thing is a ploy from Mitralypsis and its following.

That’s why I wanted to contact you, because I can tell your tribe is not apart of that group, so I wanted to know if the tribes under Mitralypsis even tried to inform outsiders to their change of plans.

This answers my question as no. No they did not.

That means the Salmonid army is now split in two in two different locations… Mitralypsis supporters and… all the rest of the Salmonids.

Are you aware of how much of the Salmonid population is for or against Mitralypsis’s plans? I need to figure out what the ratio of who’s going where.

From what I can observe it seems the majority of us fear the end of everything. No life. No new beginnings. When one cycle ends, a new starts. That’s how it is.

I’ve not been able to go to the waters close to Splatsville in recent, but from what I’ve heard it seems about an even split over there.

As for here close to the dam and the scrapyard? Well, I know my group is more use to others due to our past trades with Octarians and frequently digging through trash from the inkfish.

I have had limited interaction since I’m apparently someone who would be targeted if spotted by our enemies. It seems like outside it is close to an even split, though as far as I can tell it seems like we have the tiniest bit of a majority. However if you give a margin of error… well it could be very close to even.

I know many of them don’t fully support Mitra, but due to a shared distaste of inkfish and because they fear it, they have joined up with it.

That’s my understanding. I wish I knew more but my role on the front lines has been very limited recently.
