My sister made me a diary (for my birthday) to "cheer me up" since I'm always negative, "depressed" and miserable. It's that kind of diary that she filled in with all sorts of positive messages and happy thougts (she even ask some of both hers, mine and mutal friends what makes them happy). So I was reading it and giving a reaction for every page (it was all and nice and I often joked a little what she wrote by turning those positive messages into negative wishes of death), and then I came to the page where she wrote something along the lines "Sunce mi se smije" (which translates to "Sun is smiling to me" - which are lyrics from one of less known croatian songs). So I, being miserable shit I often am, respond to that with "Oh fuck and now I'm blind", laughing. She looked me dead in the eye, her hope for saving my soul vanishes from her eyes and says to me "Well... I at least tried to make you happier person.", puts her hands in the air and says "I give up." tl;dr - sister tried to make me happy, yet it just proved how miserable I am to turn happines into utter abomination and disaster sister: 0 me: 1

i dont want to see anyone on my dash apologizing for posting. i dont want to see anyone making personal posts that may just say “fuck” or “im sad” and then tagged “im sorry i cant stop thinking about this” or “im sorry but im still so upset and dont know what else to do”. there is no protocol for grieving about this. we are allowed to be upset even if we dont personally know anyone affected. these are our gay & trans brothers and sisters who were killed. we are a small community. it could have been our friends and it could have been us. we are allowed to hurt. we are allowed to be sad and scared and not know what to do or how to handle it. dont apologize for your reaction in any way.
