DJ MARVLS As one of the most influential hip hop djâs in the world, DJ MarvLS has been making a mark in clubs around the world that will not be erased. Spinning since 1995, this Dominican Born DJ stepped on the hip hop scene at the age of 15 on a whim when his friend Ernie, also a DJ bet him that he couldnât spin on the turntables. As luck would have it, MarvLS turned out to be a natural right hander who gave Ernie a run for his moneyâŚand the rest is HIStory! MarvLS started to perfect his craft and hone his spinning and mixing skills while still juggling the books in High School with the help of an uncle who purchased his first pair of Technics-1700. DJâing as a Hobby throughout High School, it wasnât long before the Music Industry began knocking on his door. With assistance from the likes of Music Industry Executives such as Rob Love, Hen Rock, and Tye Dash, MarvLS provided him with the exclusive music needed to push his career. Gracing venues such as the Latin Quarters, Supper Club, Copacabana, Ivy, Babalu, Club New York, and the China Club to name a few with his skills, it comes as no surprise that established Artist, Jay-Z alongside NYCâs Hot 97 Personality, Angie Martinez has called on Mr. MarvLS for a gig or two. At just 24 years of age, currently, MarvLS is traveling around the world spinning in the hottest clubs in Germany, Swizterland, Russia and Canada while working on the expansion of his highly sought after mixtapes. DJ MarvLS has been featured on the likes of BETâs âRap Cityâ, DUB Magazine, NYCene Magazine, BLOW DVD Magazine, and the Manhattan Times to name a few. As a result of his growing popularity, in 2003, MarvLS was signed to DJ Whoo Kidâs Shadyville Entertainment for one year as their first Latin DJ. In 2004, MarvLS was hired as the official DJ for âLoonâ, the former Bad Boy Recording Artist who broke records and stole the hearts of many hip hop fans around the world. A year after MarvLS started DJâing for another Bad Boy Recording Artist Grammy Award Winner âMario Winansâ. Touring with P. Diddy, Loon & Mario Winans on the promotion of there albums, MarvLS traveled to the likes of Germany, Amsterdam, London, Switzerland, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Russia, Kazakhstan, Greece, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Taipei, Australia, Scotland, Ireland & Africa. When asked to describe his style, MarvLS states, âPeople know me best for my ability to blend the music extremely well. I take old school and new school and blend them together to make one long ass song. And that always keeps the crowd wanting moreâ.
