Please appreciate a true story of a group of highly educated and practiced people risking their lives to figure out an ancient anomaly. The author intended to document the archaeological project with the intention of service to humanity. I humbly thank the author and the team for their efforts. This being said, I always wonder why Europeanized scientists & experts almost always imprint their own cultural problems onto their so-called discoveries. They view the exit of ancient cities of the Americas as tragic. Meanwhile, they only recognize Native civilization as successful per economic achievements. These well-studied westernized minds claim Native-American elite suffered the same exact corruption as the European/Western elite purposefully have executed. The problems of ancient Natives seem to mimic the systems of inequality, oppression and classism of European social organization. This author disappointingly makes these incorrect comparisons after successfully beginning excavation and protection of a sacred land. The sacred site beckons the attention of all Native-American elders and medicine men/women. Only they could properly tell us the history, future and management of these sacred lands. [As carefully as the Native ancestors built cities & societies, they also left them behind at the perfect moments. This is so confusing to Western scientists & experts since they view success solely through economics. Native & African societies achieved power & influence by aligning with Universal Energy. They weren’t looking for a great place to plant crops or natural resources to pillage. They went where the Universal Energy guided them. When their leaders abided by this high profile “divination”, all was sustainable and generally progressive. The arrival of Europeans to the “New World” disrupted, contorted and almost destroyed this highly needed ancient knowledge. This ancient knowledge still persists and is practiced today, it will be needed to correct the current problems of European systems of inequality. Mark my words, humans will align themselves with Mother Earth again upon full appreciation of Native American knowledge.]
