As a child, Spyr@l would record mix tapes (yes cassette tapes) and attempt to remove as much of the dead space between songs as he could until one day he found a way to overlap the songs. This was the first building block of his career and he didn't even know it. Growing up, Tony was always the quiet social observer versus the social butterfly. Incredibly talented artistically, Tony's outlet was his music and his art. Always lost in his own world, he would not be found without his arsenal of cds and sketchbooks always creating. Many an evening was spent at Denny's sketching, listening to cds he mixed with friends gathered 'round watching. His love and interest in music gave Spyr@l and uncanny knowledge, passion and creativity with all genres of music allowing him to create sensational mixes wowing the friends who joined him. Spyr@l got his actual start as a DJ when his sister became frustrated that she was unable to find a DJ that she liked for her wedding. Knowing her brother's ability, friends and involvement/interest in the DJ-music scene; she asked Tony to DJ at her wedding. From that night on Tony was hooked. He had found the ultimate outlet to share his thoughts, feelings, creations and creativity with large amounts of people at once hoping to move, inspire and enlighten people with his musical stories and journeys. Spyr@l quickly began to make his mark in Houston spinning at local hotspots such as The Hangar and his residency at City Street's after hours events at The Rose. Spyr@l branched out to cities such as Atlantic City where he became the resident DJ at the House of Blues. Spyr@l spun many after parties for artists such as Nine Inch Nails, Devo, The B-52's and Billy Idol. He then ventured to Detroit where he opened for Fishbone at St. Andrew's Hall for their Fall Tour in 2008 and had the time of his life. Spyr@l now produces his own music back in Houston, Texas where he is putting his own mark on trance, House, Hardstyle, Dubstep and more at the local clubs and events. Spyr@l has a facebook page (DJ Spyr@l) where he keeps his current and upcoming events, information and links to his free downloadable mixes on soundcloud.
