There are Scheduling and Scheduling
Recently I have been seeing many schedules from members on ENS community. And I totally agreed with Jeff at this point. In my opinion, effective, tangible result in scheduling can be obtained only by serious, strict and specific approach.
E.g., if you’re gonna read, you must decide what kind of text you need. What’s your purpose in learning Englsih in general? And what exactly do you expect from permanent course? Do you want to increase your passive vocabulary by reading? Actually, in my opinion, reading is one of the most effective ways to improve your vocabulary, so you don’t really need special work with vocabulary in your schedule. The reading, the writing, the listening are the vocabulary work by themselves (except some specific preparation, of course). Then you probably need some good fiction texts from high intelligent authors with great vocabulary and pure English. Is your level of English good enough for that? You can always find texts and literature according to the method prepared for your level. Or maybe your English skills are high enough for serious and complicated articles from literary magazines or even academic periodical. You won’t grow by reading gossip news from Reddit or something like that. Because there are reading and reading. If you want to increase your pronunciation, you should read aloud. Maybe someone needs to notice new words while reading and repeat it later. If you’re reading a huge and interesting novel, maybe it would be more convenient and even more efficiently to make it a routine. Then you don’t really need put it in your schedule and read it at concrete date over the specified time.
What about writing? Do you need to write specific topics; maybe you’re going to study art, economy or computer science in the future, so you need some skills for this. Is there somebody who examine it? Is level of your texts growing from lesson to lesson? Isn’t this subject or this style too simple for you?
The same thing with practice part or any other activity.
If you’re making the schedule, probably the most effective way would be mix different types of activity. This approach allows you to rest from monotonous work. Or you can focus on weakest sides of your language knowledge.
Perhaps, if you’ve built up for a serious scheduling, you should include some grammar work in your schedule.
I cannot give multipurpose suggestion for everyone. There are many aspects in making schedule which anyone can find on your own. But, I strongly believe, that “today I’m gonna read and tomorrow I’ll write” does not work efficiently.
P.S.: as always, I’d be grateful for every correction. I have to notice that I didn’t pay enough attention to this text, because there is a while I wanted to write this article, but I always didn’t have enough time, This time I didn’t have it as well.
Here is my story I hope you will listen to it and have some feedbacks on it!
I couldn't find any considerable mistake in your reflection. Your pronunciation is very clear for me.
There will be ENS group meetings on Friday, May 9th, between 1pm - 8pm GMT. Please REBLOG this post and include your Skype username if you are available to join us!
The topic for this discussion will be:
The Environment: What are we doing to destroy it and how did it get this way?
-How do…
I’d want ask everybody to prepare for the conversation beforehand:
- to make sure that you will able to be present for about one hour;
- to carry about the vocabulary;
- to make your position clear and intend to throw it;
- to be ready to disagree and discuss.
In my opinion, group meeting should not turn into alternate monologues.
Please repost.
Goo suggestions Dmitry! Being prepared for a discussion will certainly add value for everyone who is involved! Could you perhaps share some resources that you think may provide valuable background information related to this topic?
Keep up the great work and keep working together!
I dont think I have something specific for everyone. They just should to find some resources in their native language and vocabulary related to the subject.

Hello everyone
This is my reflection recording on the conversation we had this afternoon.
The topic was the civil conflict that are happening around the world and the role of the International Community to help solving them.
Participants Tanmay- India Aden - Tanzania Farid - Iran Dmitry - Ukraine Medet - Russia MANI - India
And myself from Morocco.
Your Feedback Please.
Adnane, you were a good interlocutor. I'm sorry, but I have nothing for you at this time. Your pronunciation is well, and I couldn't find any sound mistake.
Hey, Tanmay. Sometimes it's very hard to understand you because you a bit mumble (I hope it does not sound rude). You know, when you speak by separate pieces, some words or ending of words at the end of these pieces are getting lost, are slured over, sound obscurely. You have good vocabulary and decent accent, so, I suppose, it could be kind of physiological issue, I feel like you embarrass your accent. In my opinion, if you step yourself on this issue, you'll improve your spoken English considerably. I may be wrong. You can ask Jeff what he thinks about my suggestion.
This is my reflection recording on group conversation happened few hours ago.
Topic: Recently there have been many civil conflicts around the world (Syria, Egypt, Ukraine, etc). What role should the International community play in helping to resolve these civil conflicts? Participant:- Tanmay- India Aden - Tanzania Adnane - Morocco Farid - Iran Dmitry - Ukraine Medet - Russia and myself MANI from India.
Please suggest where to improve….
Your pronunciation in reflection is much better than it was during the conversation. It is seen you've worked on it. Keep practise.
Conversation Invitation
There will be ENS group conversations on Thursday, May 1st, between 1pm - 10pm GMT. Please REBLOG this post and include your Skype username if you are able to join. This will be a great opportunity to get connected with other members of ENS!

I'm in.
I think, in second part of the day.
How well said this, astonishing!
This is what I was talking about in my last reflection.
Double-meaning:
- the subject of the post
- the post by itself
P.S.: in my humble opinion
This is a community creative writing challenge! Let’s write a short story together by writing one line at a time. I will start by writing the first sentence of the story. Then, you can continue the story by REBLOGGING this post, copying the lines that have already been written and adding one line...
She had been awake for hours, mesmerized by the rhythmic rattling of raindrops on the worn rooftop of her cramped studio apartment, worrying about what the morning would bring.
And then she suddenly heard a sharp intimidating cry out of the window. This blood-chilling scream scared her more than anything she could remember. At first she stood quite still, unable to act, but somehow she managed to move and looked throw the edge of the window.
How, in my opinion, can be improved ENS community
…maybe not strict, but distinct…
…one or few persons just disappearing during the conversation…
hi there, could you please have a look at my summary of your speech and tell me if I got it right -
1 - ENS members should post only feedback recordings and pieces of writing for other members to listen to them, read and correct, help with Grammar and Vocabulary
2 - ENS member should share the resources / links to resources only in their comments on other members’ posts
3 - ENS members should join Skype meetings only if they intend to take part in them and speak out, they should avoid keeping silent and avoid disappearing without any prior notification
4 it would be nice to work out the set of rules for communicating on Skype / posting content here and stick to this ‘ENS Code’
thanks for sharing your ideas, Dmitry. If you wish I might give you feedback on some of your grammar mistakes
1, 2 - ...should...only... is too strict expression, imo
when I was talking about strictness I wanted to say that people just shouldn't forget why they are here
3 - I almost agree, but still - members have different level of English knowledge and social abilities, so I just ask everyone be to responsible and respect other's time
4 - 'ENS Code' - maybe, but at the same time it probably might scare some responsible and overresposible people, who will be afraid to be not able to follow the code
But if you ask me personally, I do not mind.
And you should not ask me if I wish to get some corrections in my face :)
I always do.

The answer’s form here is too short for my answer, so I created a new post.
I definitely can. I even used to be on Linux for a while. The question is why I should not use Windows. Especially when it becomes pretty cheap after 8.x version, or preinstalled on the most of laptops. I get used…
yes, you’re saying exactly what I wanted to say - ‘…
and besides - I have been using so many programs - for word processing, audio / video files editing, making presentations, various software adjusted for Windows OS…I have installed so many things on my PC, …it looks like a big challenge to change my way of interacting with my computer if I switch into another OS…..sort of……..
but I lack the knowledge of yourt professional jargon, as you simply put it - ‘..backward compatible problems….Flash operability’ - wow, how simple. It expands my lexicon. (did you mean ‘Flash compatibility’ though?)
A couple of words for the feedback?
1 - Instead of I’get used for it’, you’d better say ‘I’ve got used TO it’.
2 - you need the article here - ‘…it’s A very comfortable system…’ and here ‘…has A good official and unofficial support. …and here ‘…at A business meeting…’
3 - you need ‘to be’ here - ‘..which ARE very important for laptop users.’
4 - when you use ‘either’, you should use ‘or’ then - ‘…either as hardware companies which…’. Where is your ‘or’-? =)
Example: ‘You are either crazy or insane’ But there are some other examples of using ‘either’ as well
5 - you should use an auxuliary verb here - ‘…it hasn’t viruses..’ . ‘It has not got viruses / it does not have viruses’. The same ‘slip of the pen’ here - ‘…It hasn’t Windows’ viruses, ….’ and here - ‘…hasn’t enough support from…’
6 - it might be better to say ‘regular users’ here - ‘…systems for usual users…’ or ‘common? ordinary? We’d better ask Jeff.
7 - you need a bare infinitive here - ‘…let the holywar begins..’ . The correct phrase is - ‘let the holy war begin’.
Oh….it seems to be a bit too longish feedback, not ‘a couple of words’…do you mind it?
yeap, thx
there is my feedback on yours:
which is - the subject is singular
either has few close meanings, it could be noun, adjective, adverb or conjunction
Why do I think that I cant use Linux?
The answer's form here is too short for my answer, so I created a new post.
I definitely can. I even used to be on Linux for a while. The question is why I should not use Windows. Especially when it becomes pretty cheap after 8.x version, or preinstalled on the most of laptops. I get used for it; in my opinion, it's very comfortable system. I know a lot about administration and customization in Windows, and much less in 'nix systems. It always works well for me and has good official and unofficial support. Most of software companies are focused on Windows, either as hardware companies which very important for laptop users. I don't even say about plenty of less important issues, like Flash operability, etc. Have you ever collided with backward compatible problems? It's when you've prepared a presentation in Open Office and have to show it in Windows system at business meeting; Or when someone sends you .docx file with many formulas. Linux probably includes much better development environments, but I'm not a developer. It's safer, it hasn't viruses. I cant say that, just for now crackers are not focused on it. It hasn't Windows' viruses, but here are still lots of ways to get su rights, etc. It has great customization, but it's pretty enough in Windows for me. It has a console. Yeah, indeed, it's a huge advantage. Windows OS and X OS are the most friendly desktop systems for usual users. In the Linux family only Ubuntu is more or less user-friendly, but still hasn't enough support from outward software and hardware companies. Also, last Canonical moves about Ubuntu are very... weird. These are the most reasons why I think I cant don't really need to use Linux.
P.S.: let the holywar begins! I'm kiding, I'm not gonna to start or keep it :)
