Sorry for the resent inactivity. I’ve been on holiday abroad and my life and work have been a bit busy. D: I’ll be back, I promise.
It’s almost 1 am, I’m sick as a dog, I can’t sleep, and I have to work tomorrow. So instead, I’m posting about something awesome.
I struggle with depression and anxiety. I watch a crap ton of anime and play a crap ton of games to deal. I have several tattoos dedicated to different anime/games. This is one.
This has been a quote that stuck with me from the first time Krad said it in DNAngel. Dark says Krad is the same and he shoots back with this quote. I’ve always loved it. I’ve used it to remind me that I am who I am.
I decided to get it marked permantly on my skin. I emailed Vic Mignona, voice actor for Dark, and asked if he would write it. He responded that he would love to and promptly wrote it out for me. I was able to share the tat with him and he loves it.
I look down at it on bad days and it makes me smile.
Why?
1.) One of my favorite quotes.
2.) Vic was at a con, but took the time to write it super clearly for me.
3.) Mark Sheppard liked it
4.) It reminds me what I am.
I’ll try to post each of my currently five tattoos and the stories behind each.

this little discussion about with is rly interesting imo
first, because i always really like it when kosuke gets involved in this kind of stuff. he’s a massive fish out of water most of the time when it comes to the niwa family and related issues, but here he’s the one that explains that with’s power has sort of decreased, and so he can’t be used as a stand in shoul daisuke turn into dark
second, because dark’s little aside comment is rly cute. when daisuke’s wondering if with isn’t feeling right and then daiki comments it isn’t anything that serious, daisuke turns to dark. who then comments that lately, they’ve probably been relying in him too much and pushing him a later harder than they should have. it’s so cute to see everyone, especially dark, talk about like that.
and third, because i tend to forget that with really isn’t normal. which sounds weird, because of all the transformation and flying and all that jazz, but it tends to not click that with does this using his own magical power as something that was (likely) created.
as a kind of extra, while i’m sure some of this was done for PLOT REASONS (so daisuke doesn’t have an escape at the dance, things woulda gone WAY differently had with be around, to be sure), sugisaki makes a point of having kosuke say that he can’t say for sure why with’s magical power seems to have gotten weaker. sometimes i wonder if there’s any concrete reason behind it other than FOR THE PLOT.
