hello...... i decided to delete the mun intro i posted on carmen and repost it here.

i'm rey (he/they/it) a nonbinary lesbian. my special talent is turning anything into yuri. my rp twitter is YURISWEEP and my main is yamiqray (either are okay to follow!) and my discord is gamlin#6969 which is the easier way to reach me but IMs are ok too. i work as an assistant manager in a retail store so i often take a while to get to replies/starters, so i apologize for that! most of the time i do my replies at work and add icons when i get home

it was definitely one of the odder things she's encountered before, but then again, her job was to kill errant vampires. plus, she was currently in an entirely different world, so really, she didn't know what she expected. so, when she was asked for directions by the person in front of her, she really shouldn't have been that surprised at their appearance.

they usually had no qualms being rude, but someone's appearance wasn't something they judged too harshly on. after a moment's hesitation to process what their eyes had seen, they seemed to fully recover.

"i do know the way, but... i'm not used to the names of these places yet. if you're fine with it, i can take you there."

✧ -- " Don't you dare suggest that. Don't even say his name. " Vanitas hasn't the faintest clue about this realm's inner workings or who might be listening, and he isn't about to risk speaking the nightmare that is Roland Fortis into existence—the idea alone sends a sharp chill down his spine.

The mention of Noé, however, does cause his expression to soften ever so slightly as the light returns to his eyes. Was he too still in Paris? Likely curled up in his bed no doubt, waiting for Vanitas to swoop in through the window at some ungodly hour like always. This time, though...

Vanitas scoffs, immediately dismissing both the thought and Olivier’s words with a flippant wave of his palm.

" Show himself to you? Hah! Noé could wipe the floor with you if he really wanted to! " It's a bluff. Mostly. He's perfectly aware of just what the chasseur sitting before him is capable of, but he's not about to let his meat-shield's honor be questioned! " Don't underestimate an opponent so quickly! That's like... combat training one-oh-one! Don't they teach you chasseurs anything in that smelly hole of yours?! "

that does get her to crack a smile– a small one, just a smirk, but she doesn't mind giving him that. it was entertaining watching him before, and she can see it's just a permanent trait for vanitas. "he's not bloody mary. if he showed up just by saying his name, i'd have far less headaches." though him showing up and getting him to do paperwork are two entirely separate issues...

he fixes him with a flat look, then. though he was confident in himself, olivier hadn't been insinuating the mere appearance would cause him to start a fight. if that were the case, he would've done so before, when he and roland had spotted him during their talk with vanitas. he graciously decided not to bring up that if astolfo had been able to take a hand, olivier at least wouldn't be beaten as easily as he was suggesting. it was mostly for his own sake, anyways; thinking about astolfo's state after gevaudan still left a bitter taste in his mouth.

"r–" a cough. they'd be nice, and not say his name. "...i've been told of the combat prowess from what my colleague told me. you don't have to get defensive. i had no plans to start a fight in the first place."

Issy plays on one of those portable piano just outside the Cotes Park. It's late and that means that no one is around. So she thinks at least. Ismael puts her soul into the keys of the piano as she sings.

for the most part, they've tended to avoid people. they weren't exactly a social butterfly back in paris, either, but it was easier there. in order to be around less people, they've taken to exploring more at night, when less people traversed. of course, this didn't always result in a people-free night.

when he heard music, he decided to listen in. whoever was playing was quite good, and their voice was nice, as well; it was soothing, listening to them. that is, until he stepped on a branch while he wasn't paying attention, letting the sound ring out in the quiet night. it was so cliché it hurt his pride just a bit, but he cleared his throat, quelling the burning embarrassment.

"ah. i apologize for listening in. though it's a public place, it was clear you had meant to be alone..."

✧ -- One could say that first impressions are rather important to Vanitas, only in that they serve as a powerful tool for influencing how others might perceive his character. As far as his introduction to the Paladin of Obsidian is concerned, to say that he'd fumbled the bag would be an understatement—the mere memory of the exchange makes him want to crawl under a rock and die.

Unwelcome as this reunion is though, there's one other person Vanitas would loathe running into even more, and Olivier's presence has just amplified the fear of that happening tenfold.

huh. out of everyone he expected to see here, this was one of the more surprising options. even more surprising was his willingness to actually come up and speak to him– whether it was their prior meeting, or the fact that olivier was a chasseur, he had assumed vanitas would do everything in his power to avoid him. he didn't care one way or another, though. there were no chasseurs here in the first place, and it's not like olivier would go around picking fights for no reason.

the reason he spoke up made itself clear quickly. she would've laughed, but she understood how he felt. it was relieving having peace and quiet for the first time in over a decade of working for the church. there was a feeling of unease, but she chalked it up to finding herself in a strange place. anyone would be thrown off under these circumstances.

"do you think i'd be sitting here alone if he was? fortunately for you and i, he seems to still be in paris. for now, anyways. he always shows up when you least want him to." they scanned their surroundings, and looked back to vanitas. "your partner, as well? i'd say it's unlikely he would show himself to me directly, but from what i've heard..."

"a good routine. most people are satisfied with just washing it, but there's a lot more to taking care of it than that."

"first of all, it's a mistake to wash your hair daily if you don't do any activities that get it dirty. it can dry out your hair and scalp, and lead to breaking and dandruff. i typically wash my hair three times a week due to the nature of my job.

"make sure you know what ingredients your shampoo contains. there are certain additions that you don't want in them, mostly depending on your hair type. avoid sulphates in general. you don't want to condition your scalp, either. wash your hair in cool water, not hot.

"to dry, don't rub with the towel. try to avoid humidity to prevent frizzing, and make sure to put on heat protectant if you blow dry your hair. the type of brush you use is vital, as well– nothing too harsh that could pull your hair, but strong enough depending on the thickness of your strands."

"it takes a while to get into a proper routine, but it's not as troublesome as it seems at first."
