i wish we had an equivalent to space marines that wasn't "male only", because I really like the concept of the adeptus astartes.

They are warrior monks for whom brotherhood, camaraderie and service are the purest forms of dedication. They wield big fucking guns and ridiculous melee weapons. They are mentally and physically shaped by the initiation, the chapter culture and their gene seed. (The way their respective primarchs have a sway on them is crazy.) They are mass produced weapons that have transcended human wants and needs in both a badass and tragic way. They cannot relate to being human most of the time. Their bodies are artificially changed, bulky, uncanny. Their power armor is their second skin once it connects to their nervous system. They were not meant to outlast the Great Crusade and when they fall into heresy it's always interesting.

Space marines being male isn't the problem, and I wouldn't change that just for my sake. The problem is GW doesn't do anything this cool with any other faction.

This is a big reason I wish the Adepta Sororitas had the same level of cultural diversity as the Space Marine Chapters/Legions and the Astra Militarum regiments. The Sororitas are great, and I love them dearly, but there's SO MUCH untapped potential there.

Sisters who come from a Death World that have learned and perfected stealth tactics as both a survival tactic and as their trademark. Sisters who organize their specific Order closer to that of a Knightly order. Roman-inspired Sisters who come from the Ultramar system and share some iconography or colorways with the Ultramarines. Sisters who outwardly revere the Primarchs and may dedicate their Orders to their teachings.

There are so many ways to do it while still keeping them compliant to the over-arching lore of the Sisters.
