Docler Group joined the Earth Hour initiative this year again, a cause that aims to raise the public’s attention about the issues of environmental pollution and overconsumption. So far this is the seventh year when people, firms and governments turn off their lights for an hour and switch off their electric devices on the last Sunday of March, at 20:30 hours. The Docler Office also turned off the majority of its external and internal lights for an hour. Many of our colleagues individually joined the event too.

After an agreement with the American football team Budapest Wolves, the team, which consists of Hungarian players, will continue its activity in Docler colors. American football originates from North America and has a history reaching back to the 19th century. The Wolves have already proven themselves as Hungarian champions multiple times over. As founding members of the Hungarian American Football Association, the team does excellent work popularizing the sport in Hungary. To help them in this endeavor, we are proud to contribute to their Junior Wolves youth program. With our support, the Wolves will be able to play more games abroad, organize summer camps, and spend more time locating young talents.

Docler has been a part of numerous exciting and endearing projects. This time, Docler’s employees donated stuffed animals to participate in the initiative started by Rex Dog Shelter Foundation. October 4, is World Animal Day and Rex’s twentieth birthday. On this occasion, Rex organized an attempt at a world record, which we aided through the enthusiastic participation of our coworkers. The organizations wished to collect six thousand stuffed animals to donate to hospitals and children in need on October 6. Docler employees alone collected almost 500 stuffed animals.

We organized a gifting action for the Children Clinic at Tűzoltó Street. With the generous donations of our colleagues we could contribute to the Christmas surprises of the small patients hospitalized during the year-end holidays, and to the recognition of conscientious workers. The Clinic organizes a Christmas party each year, where gifts are given for small children and as the recognition of the hospital assistant staff. Thanks to our former support, the Children Clinic No. II of the Semmelweis University is able to purchase life-saving medical equipment, but we felt that other good deeds are also needed. In order to strengthen our cooperation of more years, we assured our colleagues to donate their unused toys and books for the Clinic in order to have gifts for each hospitalized child. We were proud to deliver the collected surprises!

Docler group is a longtime supporter of the civic life in Kőbánya and already backed many initiatives and institutions. This time preserving our heritage was the goal when we offered additional donations to Saint László Parish Church. Last year the parish received numerous security cameras that were placed in different locations around the building. This year the cameras were further improved and an additional security system was added to preserve this wonderful 19th century building in its current great condition. The district will truly come alive on August 20, when Kőbánya celebrate the feast of Saint István and organize Kőbánya Sounds of Blues Festival. The event will include many family programs, celebrated artists, and open to young and old. Docler group also assisted in the realization of these entertaining programs.
