For anyone in Bismarck/ND that adopt kitties: Doubt anyone will look to tumblr of all places for veterinary info, but please don’t take your pet to Bismarck animal clinic. My kitty had symptoms of uri back in November that never really disappeared. They rapidly got worse in the past week and she had to be put down yesterday, as she had been only NOW tested positive for leukemia. I thought I was going insane for feeling like something was wrong with her health but in her checkups in November and December they said her breathing was normal. She only lived 7 months and passed away yesterday.

If you adopt a kitty from bismanonline that hasn’t been tested for FeLV do it IMMEDIATELY. Kitties can live a long life if you know early on. There is no cure to leukemia in kitties besides giving them space from other kitties and special care. My kitty reached the final stages quickly. It wasn’t diagnosed until it was too late. Get a feline snap test done on your kitty ahead of time to determine whether they’re positive for FeLV/leukemia or not.
