Nightbitch was not a great movie and I actually don't agree w some of its takeaway or povs and I was very unsatisfied w the ending BUT some scenes really went crazy and I think that a really brilliant director and scriptwriter could have done wonders w Amy's talents and really made an awesome film like I don't think the premise is unsalvageable at all it's just one of those things where it's not really saying much beyond "motherhood sucks due to heteropatriarchy but is also awesome bc I love my baby and I have unlocked this specific part of my heart for my baby which feels really powerful" which like okay yay but you're not really saying anything new or radical AND the movie is not even that committed to criticizing heteropatriarchy. It felt like she was experiencing equal rage @ her childless friends as compared to her fucking husband lol

And to return to the hetero nuclear family model and getting fucked doggy style by ur insane husband at the very end ..... Okay well I think the point is here and the movie is 294683 feet away
