I agree we need to do better. I’m scared to admit this but seeing people at pride or just a happy gay couple makes me feel happy for them that they are joyous. I know that God’s design is only for a man and a woman, but I see at the end of the day we all just want to love the person who is precious to us. I am side B. I’m not rejecting the Church’s stance or justifying hatred. Sorry if it came off that way

No worries! I feel the same way sometimes. Seeing sapphic couples out and about does admittedly make me happy.

But I honestly think that makes us the best option for witnessing to affirming people. Because we're not coming from a place of hatred or discrimination, and we understand the cost of what Christ is asking people to give up for Him.

Sometimes i go on facebook bc a lot of my irl friends now are old people. And the pride posts i see are heartbreaking. One woman said she celebrates because of the harm churches have caused gay people. She wants pride to be an opportunity for Christians to examine their biases.

This is not what people should think of the people of God. We need to do better.

The two most frustrating parts I discovered when trying to being friends with people is that they are either trying to appear cool and nonchalant due to social media influence. The other frustrating part is when you guys don’t click. You guys are friendly and chatty but not close. It’s makes things so hard.

As a Queer Side B Christian I wish more people were like you especially Christians. Making friends is already hard, but I encounter two kinds of people: rad trads and rad liberals that hate Christians. I just want my own found family where we platonically love each other. We can be ourselves, be vulnerable without any fear of judgment or fakeness. I am so tired of this

I feel this so much anon. I tend to feel out of place in most groups, even Christian ones. Its hard when you constantly feel rejected and just want a place to belong. I'm praying all of us find that.

Ex-friends responded to my message. They were basically like we love you and we're always here if you want to come back.

Which on the surface may sound nice but it completely ignores all my reasons for not wanting to be friends anymore. No acknowledgement or accountability and basically making it a me problem to change my mind eventually.

So i feel pretty reassured in my choice.
