"Britpop is dead I don’t know why people still like it"
That britpop pose. So cool.
Britpop pose? These guys are actually showing an obscene gesture that pretty much only Brits understand. Holding two fingers closely together and showing them off like that basically means "fuck you". Kind of like giving someone the middle finger. The origin of the gesture dates back to medieval times, like the battle of Agincourt in 1415, when one used bow and arrow as a weapon. The French had claimed that any archer who was captured by them would have those two fingers cut off so he could no longer use a bow, but the English defeated the French and as the English archers fled they waved their fingers like that as an insult. Ever since this gesture has been an insult. If you walk in to a pub in England and plan on order two of something I recommend you do not show how many you want with your fingers...
