Trust me, take it from an "older" Tot... that person that bullied you in school won't matter years down the road, you'll likely forget most of what was said and done... That person who gives you a weird look because of what you wear or how you acted in public won't remember you and you won't remember them.. That person that made fun of you at one of your first jobs you were still learning won't mean anything to you later in life. That so called friend that can't accept and respect you as you are, the people who are meant to be in your life will accept, respect and love you just as you are, all the other's don't matter. Finally that person that said something nasty won't matter when you're living your life the way you want, doing what makes you happy. Most of these people are upset because they either A. Don't have the courage to be their own authentic selves and so seeing those who can be their authentic selves triggers them. B. They haven't found a healthy coping mechanism for their own trauma. "Hurt people hurt people." Those that are hurting without the proper support they need cause harm to others. C. They are just generally unhappy in their life and in the world. Misery loves company after all, tale as old as time. Don't let others people's pain become your own.. Live your life the way that makes you happy, helps you feel safe and gives you comfort. This life is too short and too precious to allow anyone to dictate your own happiness! You are not hurting anyone by just existing and following your happiness. Remember you are loved, you are valid, you are important, you are a treasure, you are needed in this world to make it a softer place for yourself and everyone else around you, you are on the right path, you're right where you're meant to be, you are supported and you are not alone.

How to keep your stuffed animal fluffy and soft

Over time, and many nights sleeping with a stuffie in your bed, their fur will get pushed down and tangled. It is a scientific fact that this is the leading cause of embarrassment in teddybears.

(Trust me, I’m a teddybearologist).

1. If you decide to wash your stuffie, put them in a mesh bag or a pillowcase that is pinned or tied closed to protect them. Or you can do it by hand. Do not put them in the dryer. Beware that this will make your stuffie’s fur look even worse at first, but it is good for cleaning them.

2. Squeeze any water from your stuffie and then vigorously rub their fur with a towel. Then brush them over with a hairbrush like this to make their fur stand up more. Continue to rub with the towel and brush.

3. Blow dry your stuffie on the lowest heat setting while continuing to gentley use the brush to fluff them up. This is also good for getting moisture out of the stuffie. It may take a while so have patience. Continue to stop every now and then to fluff up the fur with the hairbrush.

4. When you are done, a great way to get rid of the last few tangles is with a hair pick like this:

I also like to rub the stuffie with a nice smelling fabric softener sheet that you normally put in the dryer. Your stuffie will smell really good and be a bit softer.

5. Ta-da! You’re done! Enjoy your new looking stuffie! Your stuffed animal thanks you.
