Thesun wasn’t too bright and the morning rush had just probably ended but he still felt like the sky’s burning his too sensitive eyes and that people are still crowding. It couldn’t be helped though. It’s a busy town with a rather busy people so with a sigh he pushed open the door to Boulangerie Pierre and went straight to the counter to order some nice slice of cake and some coffee. What better way to start his day with some sugar and a cup of caffeine to wash it all down? Desserts aren’t actual meals though now that he thought about it and decided to throw in some croissant too.

The line wasn’t a long one thankfully and so he patiently waited for his turn as he sleepily rubbed his eyes. It’s one of those days where he wasn’t feeling like cooking for himself, too lazy to think about wanting to do anything with the world at the moment actually but he believed that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so instead of rushing straight to the kitchen he grabbed his keys and drove off. His housemate would want some breakfast too so he’ll be buying for two.

Eunsoo stepped forward once the lady in front of him had gotten her orders. He read the menu briefly before placing his order. “Two americanos, two croissants and… a slice of that double chocolate cake, please,” he said, his brows furrowed in thought. “Make that other americano and croissant on-the go, and the rest dine in, thanks,” and was told to wait at a table while they serve him his order. With a nod and after he’s paid he picked a table near the window to sit at and waited for his breakfast.

No Touch || Eunsoo&Damien

Damien hated mornings. He also hated going shopping. He hated going out without having had coffee, but what could he do? He couldn’t exactly argue with Ivy since the woman took care of him in her own way. Damien took a deep breath as he walked into the grocery store. He hated shopping with a list and with a set time and everything. He just disliked grocery stores. “Nothing will even end up cooked,” he muttered to himself, as he scanned the list. So many things to buy that it was almost ridiculous and stupid and he hated it. Damien simply could  not comprehend the idea of being that one guy who would go into shops early to get the freshest ever. 

He grabbed vegetables as per his list and he sighed, ignoring the word ‘freshest’ at the top of the page. He made his way down the aisle, half asleep and really not in the most perfect mood. There had to be nothing to piss him off. Nothing at all. He had a short temper without coffee. 

But of course, there just had to be be something. As he made his way to the canned goods aisle, there was someone standing in front of the cans, apparently analyzing them. Damien didn’t want to be rude and grab what he needed around the guy, so he just stood behind the guy, hoping that  he would make his decision already. Shopping for food wasn’t rocket science. He cleared his throat a few times, hoping to catch attention. “Excusez moi~” he said, using his French skills.

It was almost amazing how much time he could spend in trying to make up his mind on which canned good is better. Others would have just walked by the isle and grabbed the brand they prefer and go on their merry way, some would probably pick the cheaper one and then move on to the next thing on their list. But Eunsoo wasn’t like other people and it should have been ridiculous to him too but it isn’t, to him it’s perfectly normal, believes people should follow his example. But of course not everyone gives a damn on such small things as grocery shopping, and clearly the person behind him who’s been trying to get his attention is one of those people.

Eunsoo internally groans before turning around with an annoyed expression on his face, his brows furrowing in a slight scowl. The stranger was taller than him and clearly looked as annoyed as he probably was but that wasn’t enough of a reason to be disturbing him (he failed to realize he’s practically blocking the shelf). They were close to each other but thankfully not too close enough for them to be touching and he sized up their distance before taking a small step backward just in case.

“Did you need anything?” he asked and tried not to sound too annoyed but his frown probably gave him away. Eunsoo definitely doesn’t know the guys so he wasn’t sure why he’s talking to him right now. He should probably go he thinks, but he’s yet to pick the right canned pickles.

No Touch || Eunsoo&Damien

Ifhis parents saw him now they’d probably shake their heads at the prospect of him getting his own groceries, but it couldn’t be helped since he’s reluctant to leave anything kitchen related with Hyunsoo. His housemate’s a year older than him but it’s pretty much obvious he’s much more reliable in the kitchen, plus he likes what he does, this way he can be as meticulous as he wants to be when picking up ingredients. And he meant it too.

Eunsoo wasn’t sure how long he took in picking out the vegetables but thankfully he was able to grab the freshest bunch he could find. It was one of the reasons why he went to the supermarket at such early hour or he would have nothing but the leftovers. A chef should always have an eye for the best was what he had read somewhere, and being the aspiring chef that he was he had abided with that quote.

Soon he found himself sifting through canned the goods, placing his shopping basket right by his foot he grabs two of the canned meatloaf. Like always he takes his time in choosing, reading through the nutritional facts found at the back of the cans and comparing them, his eyebrows furrowed in concentration. He weighs the pros and cons of buying each can, determined to pick the best one as he stood there in front of the shelves, the buzz of the other customers fading into nothingness as his brain worked on autopilot.
