If you’re lucky...once, maybe twice in your life you will have the immense pleasure of coming across your heart dog.
Now this dog is a dog unlike any other. He or she may not be what you want at the time. They may not be anything of what you expected when purchasing your first puppy or adopting the ugliest mutt from the shelter. But they will turn out to be exactly what you needed. They will help you through the worst of your life and be there for the best. They will teach you a lesson you thought you’d never learn in how to trust, forgive, and love. This dog will look into your soul with eyes that know your deepest fears and somehow with slobbery kisses and wagging tails life becomes a little less scary. Don’t get me wrong, your heart dog will test your patience like no other. They will make you question why you ever got a dog in the first place. That’s why you understand each other so perfectly. They are stubborn and messy sometimes, just as you are.
