What a lovely way to use up scrap fabric, relatively simple, too.

Faux Geode Necklace | Fall For DIY
There are some things I just can’t go past when it comes to re-blogging, and anything geode is one of them! Nature is an amazing artist and geodes are truly unique and beautiful. Geodes can be hard to work with though, but not this version - it’s made out of polymer clay and glitter glass encased in a hand twisted gold wire.

DIY Your Name Bracelet via Born in Eighty-Two
It doesn’t have to be your name, create a word that means something to you and you’ll have a lovely bracelet to remind you.

Anthropologie Inspired Rope Necklace | Henry Happened
I love how statement necklaces can take your outfit from blah to bam, and this one is no exception! Nautical goes a bit edgy with the addition of gold spikes with this Anthro inspired necklace from Henry Happened, and bonus - it costs a lot less to make than to buy - always good for the hip pocket!
DIY Triangle Shelves - A Beautiful Mess
I love the way these shelves look, possibilities are endless with colour combinations, too.
Gorgeous and Warm Hooded Capes and Cloaks
Capes or cloaks are amazing! They can be formal and classy, they can be rugged and not much more than a poncho.
They are easy to make and make a statement — Great for costumes, fancy dresses or keeping warm!
DIY Faux Geode Necklace via Fall for DIY
Francesca of Fall for DIY is a genius when it comes to polymer clay projects, and this gorgeous geode necklace is no exception.

Lulu & Georgia Inspired Rugs | Home Made By Carmona
As an owner of a house with wooden floors, I am all about DIY rugs. They’re great to have underfoot but so expensive (well, for the nice ones anyway!). There was a rug I loved from Freedom almost identical to the one on the right in the picture but it was $600! This tutorial is fantastic and means I can get the same look for less - which is what we all want right?!
Novelty iPhone Speaker | Ceci Bean
It’s funny how these days people seem to be trying to take our modern technology and make it old fashioned in style. We have rotary phones with iPhone jacks, wooden computer keyboards, even typewriters that you connect to your iPad! Though i love all these things, they do end up being pricey (it’s expensive making the new old!) Though as Ceci points out you won’t be chucking out your Bose sound system with this gramaphone, it’s so sweet and fun and it looks great! Plus it’s not that expensive to make (though you do need a good drill). I know my Dad would love this - but he has the drill… hmm.
