Some basic info about the book I’m writing

Based on the quick (and I mean quick) google research the genres and sub-genres I could possibly put the novel under is

Main genres

Fantasy : It contains a LOT of magical things, for example, the protagonist is not a human. In fact in the main group, only one is human.

Sci-fi : the story is set in an alternative-timeline and while the first book doesn’t exactly have a fancy technology, the rest of them will have.

Other ones I am not so sure about

Dystopia : A bit iffy about this one because the story isn’t in the future… and only partially negative (magic folk)

Magical realism : the magic is in our world in our time

Lost world/Mythical kingdoms :….welp got both. (blog name should tell enough ppl)

Myths : It has a lot of different mythologies and folklores which I’m giving own twist into. Like the protagonist

LGBTQ : No-one is straight… Well maybe few. Straights are minor.

Since Silent Brothers are a thing there is apparently a way for Shadowhunters to become immortal, and since Jem Carstairs is a thing the procedure apparently doesn’t require for the Shadowhunter to lose his good looks. So……. Alec, what are you waiting for? I’m sure Magnus will love you even if you have to wear ratty robes for the rest of eternity (he’ll gladly help you out of them anytime).

Silent Brothers are monks. They are forbidden from relationships and they aren’t even immortal. The number of runes combined with the strength of each rune has makes their bodies age a lot slower. And I don’t think anyone would date silent brother... Jem is literally only one who doesn’t look like that bc he would have died if he got all the runes he’s supposed to...
