N. Kento didn’t do talks. Especially about his private life. But Yuji had already realized that, failing in imaginable ways to get something from his teacher.

“It’s impossible that the only thing Nanamin do is work! He must have a wife, or at least a dog! He can’t be grumpy like that all the time” The pink-haired boy murmurs to himself.

Through his day, Itadori gets questions formed in his head so he can make when he gets a mission with him, so determined to know more about the teacher he admires so much.

And It’s just through a more than random moment during a mission, when Kento is finishing to exorcise a curse that attacked the teenager that he realizes the golden ring on his finger.

Mr. Nanami is actually married. Do anyone knows that? Megumi, Nobara, Gojo sensei… Who’s his wife? Does he knows it? There’s a lot of more questions in his head right now.

“Nanamin! Are you married?” He questions.

“Yes, Yuji, I’m, in fact, married” Nanami confirms with his usual seriousness, not giving any answers besides the necessary.

But the puzzle doesn’t take time to resolve itself when the next morning, during his training and your class, Itadori notices a so much similar golden ring on your marriage finger, linking everything on his mind Immediately.

You and Mr. Nanami were married. His favorite teachers are married and he didn’t knew it. How he never linked that before. How no one told him. Does someone knows it?

You two are always together. Gojo-sensei does little jokes about third-wheeling all the time around you. Nanamin always extra grumpy when you get the minimal scratch during some mission, moody until you get better and return to work.

Besides the single time Yuji thinks he saw his teacher smile was when around you, but he just assumed he went crazy.

The worst of all was that, when he went to tell every thing he discovered for Nobara and Megumi they acted like it was the most normal news ever, like they already knew it, like he was the only one who took so long to realize his teacher isn’t grumpy because he’s single and lonely and that he can’t actually smile.

And the man was actually a great husband.

Yuji started noticing, weekly bouquet in your table, letting your lunch for you discreetly whenever he thought you’d be taking to long to eat, walking you through the corridors, magical coat in your chair when the weather started to get colder.

And everyone knew it and let Itadori live his life without knowing his favorite teachers were married and the cutest couple ever.

With a little boat and just enough food he was able to catch, he navigated the whole sea looking for his love — until he saw a light. Just some hours after, a candle with its flames lit. Her.

It didn’t took much for him to floats towards her, leaving the combination of small pieces of wood aside in the yellow sand as he ran to the woman, sealing their lips together in a passionate kiss — a feeling that made them never want to leave each other again, the passion between them strong.

As the weeks and months passed, it became routine, he was always coming, bringing food and company, and she was always waiting — a candle in her hands, a promise that its flame would guide his way back to her.
