get to understand your face shape, knowing this helps you understand what will flatter you and what won't. will traditional bangs flatter me or is a side bang better? what blush placement will flatter me? what glasses shape will flatter me etc.
HOT TIP : if u still don't know your face shape, you can take a handheld mirror and hold it up so you see ur face in it. and then with a dry erase marker trace around ur face and see which shape it resembles, i learnt this hack from a youtube video!...💬🎀
now that you know your face shape, do some research! find out ur celebrity face shape twin, how to apply your blush and contour in the most flattering way, find out which hairstyles you could try etc. some other things i recommend knowing are your undertones, hair texture etc.
KEEP YOUR TEETH WHITE ;
the guru nanda whitening strips are literally $10 for a pack of fourteen! i use one a week and brush my teeth with a toothpaste with some sort of whitening ingredient in it, and my teeth SPARKLE. teeth are so essential to a face card because they indicate hygiene. i love the guru nanda whitening strips because the crest one i used to use left my teeth SO sensitive.
since the guru nanda one is more natural based, it doesn't destroy my enamel and it's AMAZING. some more things to keep in mind when whitening ur teeth, I DONT WANNA SEE LEMON JUICE AND BAKING SODA ANYWHERE NEAR YOUR TEETH. that's horrible for you, ask literally any dentist.
KEEP YOUR EYEBROWS CLEAN ;
now that you know your face shape, find out which eyebrow shape suits you the best. do not under estimate how much your eyebrows impact your facecard. but just as a rule of thumb, keeping your brows clean and neat is guaranteed to look nice on literally everybody. i'll insert a chart down below to help the girlies out.

sometimes we don't even realize when we're looking for validation from others so here are some things that we do subconsciously that are validation-hungry behaviors.

HOW ARE WE GONNA COMBAT THIS? ;
the first step to combatting this is to become self aware so if you've already done that, GOOD JOB. the second thing that we're gonna wanna do is get rid of any shame that is surrounding our validation hungry tendencies. there is nothing to be ashamed of.
we're going to work through it with some journalling (i'll provide some prompts below) and practicing self validating until it becomes like second nature to us.

my five favorite easy to implement skincare tips⋆.ೃ࿔*:･🫧💕
🪽 moisturizing on wet skin - when i get out of the shower i literally just tap myself with the towel, and while my skin is still wet i slather my lotion on and then some body oil. it retains the moisture and keeps me buttery soft.
🪽 using the most of my sheet masks - i use sheet masks pretty often, like 1-2x a week so i wanna get the most bang for my buck. after letting it sit on my skin, i make sure to rub the essence into my face. i take the mask and rub it on my body too, and the essence left over in the pouch i do the same.
🪽 applying skincare from thinnest to thickest - this i think is called skin flooding? but it's really really effective for glowy mochi like skin. apply the thinnest product and then end with the thickest.
🪽 changing my pillow cases regularly - those little bumps that you see on your skin? very very annoying, but you can prevent them by chanigng ur pillow cases regularly. also cleaning ur phone regularly so it's not giving u acne when u press it against ur face.
🪽 staying hydrated - how hydrated and well rested you are shows in your skin! make sure to drink enough water, electrolytes, and resting adequately every night.
as an ambitious girly girl, sometimes i get overwhelmeed and worked up. when i get like that i like to have comfort days where i can just reset and focus on me. i've already talked about how important scheduling time for rest is, but here's how i like to have days that just feel comforting...💬🎀
WATCH A COMFORT MOVIE ;
i love watching movies! especially movies from the 90s and early 2000s. some of my favorite comfort movies are the princess diaries, the house bunny, cinderella 1997, clueless etc. while im watching the movie, i like to watch on the actual tv instead of my macbook.
i like to watch the movies on the tv because you can't have multiple tabs open on a tv, so i'm less likely to get distracted. bcuz idk about you but lowk having too many tabs open at once gets me stressed out. there's something homey and warm about the tv so i just curl up on the couch and watch my movie.

A TEDIOUS SELF CARE RITUAL ;
self care is quite literally one of my hobbies, and i know it seems vain but doing a tedious self care ritual literally BREATHES life into me! doing meticulous routines is literally how i say "i love you" to me. and my routines are tailored to my specific needs at that time. for example if my skin is a little dull, i do my tedious skincare ritual. i'm sharing one of my in depth body routines.
💕 drink a tall glass of water with a bit of ice
💕 put some micellar water on your cotton pad and wipe your face. i love doing this, even if i wasn't wearing makeup because it gets the first layer of gunk off ur face
💕 glycolic acid wiped underneath ur arms to help with hyperpigmenation and elimination of odor. the glycolic acid i use has some witch hazel in it which also helps with odor elimination
💕 face icing to depuff and refresh myself
💕 shaving
💕 wash face with my cleanser, i use the cetaphil cleanser and its so simple and works so good
💕 tongue scraping, flossing, brushing my teeth and finishing off with some mouthwash
💕 then i use a sheet mask, and i like to add a bit of serum to the sheet mask
💕 double cleanse in the shower
💕 rub some serum into your skin from the sheet mask (helps use all the product and reduce waste) also makes your skin GLOW before locking everything in with a lotion
DOING SOME OF MY HOBBIES ;
i love to make moodboards on canva and pinterest, everytime i make one thats really good i post it on my twitter and sometimes my tumblr. this is just a fun way for me to express something visually, like my vision for something (a post, my week, a season in my life etc) it's like digital scrap-booking literally.
