Iron Chef | Dessert Course
Luna's panna cotta with grape gelée was complete at last!
Her partner, James, had almost given her a heart attack by swinging his knife around recklessly, but for the most part, she was able to give her dessert her utmost attention. Though she didn't like getting her hands or clothes dirty, her baking skills were rather exceptional. She had many fond memories of baking with her grandma and Candace since she was little.
With her experience and excellent taste in sweets, Luna was certain that she had already won. Besides, who didn’t love a bunch of sugar?
While a little late, Nina dropped off a poinsettia to Luna that was died a pinky-purple colour and adorned with glitter. The potted plant was tied with a pink bow and beside it was a card: Dear Luna, A belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to Nina's beautiful little cousin! Let's spend even more time together this year, okay? ♥ Love, Nina ♥ P.S: Nina's Mama sends her love as well. ♥
Luna was surprised to receive a delivery later that week, but when she discovered that the sender was her cousin, Nina, it made complete sense. Nina had always been especially kind to her, even if Luna was stubborn at times. They hadn’t been able to talk lately, but Luna was delighted to see that she was the same as before.
As she examined her gift, it was hard to contain her excitement. The shimmering poinsettia was super adorable– it definitely deserved a place in her room. Luna made a mental note to repay her cousin sometime.
Damsel In Distress | Luna & Max
@orangeteas ♡
Luna was back at the Fairview Gardens after a long day at work. She had been standing still in various poses all day and quite frankly, she wanted nothing more than to take a long, warm bubble bath right now. As she stepped into the elevator, she went through her purse to apply some lip gloss when she noticed something in the mirror.
One of her earrings had gone missing.
A loud, annoyed groan escaped her. "Ugh, this can't be happening," she muttered, immediately getting out to look for it. That earring had costed more than the dress she was wearing-- she needed to find it no matter what.
Her search began at the lobby, the last place she had been before she went in the elevator. Though she tried to search as discreetly as possible, it was pretty obvious by the way she walked in circles, eyes glued to the floor. But Luna didn’t care. The sooner she found that damned thing, the better it was for her already waning patience.
Merry Christmas | Luna&Candace
@dolllfxced
Candace had been working on Luna’s Christmas gift in secret for a few months, and now the day was finally here! It had taken a lot of work, but it was well worth it. Well, Candace hoped it would be since Luna was a bit picky about what she liked. However, Candace held high hopes for this one. She entered the living room of their shared apartment and spotted Luna on the couch. Candace came towards her and held out a large dress box tied with a blue ribbon, inside of which held a handmade dress.
“Merry Christmas, Luna.” She handed Luna the box and watched with anxious, wringing hands. “Go ahead and open it.”
Christmas was much quieter this year, but Luna didn't mind a little silence every now and then. After attending countless of parties this year, a simple evening spent with her sister was much more preferred anyways.
Luna kept herself occupied with some magazines in the living room, face drawn with a pensive expression as she flipped through the pages. Noticing Candace at corner of her eye, she put down her book to see what she was up to, only to look down at a dress box set down before her. "Oh! My present?" She gently placed it onto her lap, slowly opening up the box to reveal the pink dress inside.
"Wha-- it's so adorable! ♥ Thank you so much, Candace! This is the best gift I could've ever hoped for!" She jumped up from the couch and pulled her sister into a tight embrace. "I'm definitely wearing it tomorrow-- no, actually, it deserves to be saved for a special occasion! ♪ " The pinkette giggled as she held up the dress, swinging around in circles excitedly. Candace had really outdone herself this time, Luna couldn't imagine how much time she must have spent sewing each detail. It made her own gift seem so cheap in comparison.
Wait.
She came to a stop, her face darkened with realization. "Oh my gosh, I haven't even given you your gift yet! Wait here for a sec." Luna ran into her room with the dress in hand, returning with her own gift bag. She held it towards her sister with hopeful anticipation. "Here you go, Candace. Merry Christmas! ♪"
Inside, there were a pair of pearl earrings, a white shoulder dress, and a new sewing kit. Though the sewing kit and earrings were bought to suit Candace's tastes, the dress was a small push for Candace to dress more confidently, something Luna did so often that it might as well have been their own family tradition.
