One year ago today I posted this practically shot Iron Giant photo I created using real figures, lighting, miniature sets & my trusty old tin foil for water technique & cotton wool for the splashes.

Do you have any resources on doll clothing and modification?

disclaimer: most of the clothes i make i just buy whatever barbie fashion pack is currently in rotation and seam rip that to use for patterns

if you're just starting out or if you need some like quick basic and FREE patterns go to MyFroggyStuff she's sure to have something that can help (i've also had good luck with nynnie me and luvigadolls free patterns)

if you're thinking about really heavy body mods i'd recommend Dollightful (she has great patterns on her etsy store too) or Hextian depending on if you wanna do a fantasy character or just bump up a silloutte

and if you dont mind paying money and not having a visual tutorial in exchange for getting just about ANYTHING you could think of RAD Doll Clothes is THE place to be i've bought from them like a dozen times and they never disappoint AND they cater to multiple doll lines

Happy Earth Day! These two ladies embrace this day like no other.

First we have Poison Ivy, nature's fiercest defender. She'll do anything to protect plants from humankind.

Next is Venus McFlytrap, a member of the Unearthed Club at Monster High, proudly showing off her plants. And yes, there are little Venus flytraps in there along with her monster plants. :D

Cool Sixth Scale Arcade Diorama

I love this sixth scale diorama from Pink Sky Arcade! Especially with the lighting and decor.. this is one of the best dioramas I've ever seen and I love the inclusion of the dolls!

They say It takes 29 USB plugs, 8 remotes and 3 phones to run the whole thing.

The "pink-o-ween" trend has finally grown on me and I'm loving it! I kept saying Halloween is NOT pink, but this year's Michaels collection with lots of Mean Girls-type goodies pushed me over the edge. :D I instantly saw Draculaura with all the pink and black vibes, and I knew there were Barbies out there that came with pink and black witch costumes. So I just had to do this. And this diorama is taller than my usual ones due to one thing - the wardrobe/cabinet in the corner. It's literally a half inch too tall for my usual diorama space, and while I could have sawed off the feet, I didn't want to do that so I opted to finally build a taller scene. This one is made of foam board that I taped together so the flaps can fold in for easy storage. Hubby added some LED light strips to the top, and the floor is the same size as my others. The only difference is the height. But this will also be good for Christmas considering half the trees I find are too tall as well, and I have lots of plans for trees this year...

But anyway, without further ado, behold my "pink-o-ween" diorama! Got some pink Cosmo drinks for the socialites on the couch, a cute kitty posing for Draculaura's phone camera, and some ladies mixing up some concoctions (looks like a love potion). I made all the wall art using dollhouse frames from Hobby Lobby (the two larger ones were printed with a laser cutter), and the small oval one was 3D printed. I also made the wreath above the fireplace as well as the curtains. I'm really happy with how this turned out. :)

I keep swapping out pieces on each dresser.

My thought process was the original "room" was Andromedas and the second was Ellowynes. But slowly the white room is getting mixed with the dark furniture cause you know there's only so much room on the first dresser. Plus with the slanted ceilings there's even less room....

My only hard rule is the bug lined pieces stay together for the Andromeda room. (2 black matching narrow shelves and the hutch? Idk the thing with drawers lol) And I think I want Medusa to be there. But how they're laid out right now? Idk. I'm not attached to it.

Anyone have any better suggestions?

Splitting the white cabinets seems weird....

I just want them both to feel lived in vs generic background if that makes sense? I know I am rambling but isn't that what Tumblr is for? Lol

Sunday afternoon at the arcade and doing gacha pulls with friends.

Also was super lucky at the gacha pulls. 1 out of 6 options was the cup. The other 5 were plates. Got a cup on the first pull and a plate on the next just as I wanted! And shockingly they're made out of ceramic
