I found an Ariadoll 14year (54cm) body to try for Volks Rio (center). I really wanted my little Volks collection on smaller (51cm) bodies but it is so hard to find them. I think this is a little bigger than I liked but it works just fine with the Zaoll (left) and Dollstown Elf (right) bodies when dressed.
(Rio was on a Zaoll body but it got stolen in the musical chairs when I was bodying my Merry Doll Round heads 😅 But it didn't at all match her color anyway.)
I also got 15 of those inexpensive clear 1:6 doll stands off AliExpress. It's hilarious I thought that was more than enough for my Dream Besties collection. Then when they got here I had to count heads and ... there are definitely more than 15 dolls 😅

I made Letitia's outfit last winter (except for the bag, it's been a few years, and the shoes, which are Zuru mini fashions; great for posing the dolls standing up on their own 👍). The poly clay sandwich was made this spring.

I'm on vacation so I took Dream Besties Brooklyn as a travel doll, and dressed her as generically as I could so her base outfit could theoretically go with any wacky crochet I get up to. On the road. Road crochet.
And another bunny hood because I can't stop.
(Actually this is my second core(?) Brooklyn because I wanted to leave the first one with her stock pigtails, but I needed a doll with hair down to model my current hat obsession... Good thing they are currently on sale everywhere for less than $10 which is an amazing deal imo EDIT: oops well they were on sale last week when I was packing 😅)
It's been a while since I used one of my OCs for my dolls (I may have too much OCs…)
I really love her, I had such a hard time making her hair and painting her face, but it was worth it! I really wanted to make a doll with box braids, I also got my hands on some cool iridescent fabric to make her clothes and accessories.
Also also, since she's a summer doll, she get a swimming outfit!
(shoutout to that unknow person who gave away that mini inflatable flamingo ring at my local secondhand shop, I love it so much)

So the doll is a Barbie Dream Bestie, they're really cute dolls, save for the fact that their feets do not fit any barbie shoes (??). This is why I had to get her Rainbow High doll shoes, good thing they look really good on her!
Btw, I had to DRILL to get the braids inside her head!
Here's a closeup of the bag, I made it in the shape of a floppy disk (old guy voice remember floppy disks, kids?), as I was trying to go for a vaporwave vibe for her.
Finally, her earrings and bracelets for the swimming outfit are actually phosphorescent beads (? idk how to call them), they look like little neons, so they were perfect for her!
