❝ What’s a soulmate? ❞
❝ It’s a..
Well, it’s like a best friend, but more.
It’s the one person in the world that knows you better than anyone else.
It’s someone who makes you a better person, well, actually they don’t make you a better person…
you do that yourself— because they i n s p i r e you.
A soulmate is someone who you carry with you forever.
It’s the one person who knew you, and accepted you, and believed in you before anyone else did or when no one else would.
And no matter what happens.. you’ll always love them. ❞

“I sometimes feel like one.”
alexisrawleyrp:
“Well that’s a shame.” The girl replied although her voice was as dispassionate as always, other peoples sisters didn’t matter to her. Not apart from Gabby, Gabby and her own sister Delilah, apart from that everyone else’s relatives were just collateral in the game of life. She turned back to Dolena, eyes careful as she placed them on her again, calculating in the way she let them travel from the top of her head downwards, before finally catching the other pair in her own. “Intense dislike? That works too I suppose. I don’t entirely dislike you though, you’re a relatively good quidditch player when you’re not getting smacked in your silly little head by flying bludgers. So there are some uses to you despite first appearence. As your captain it’s my duty to come and check on you.”
The girl’s lack of emotion bothered her a bit more than it should have. Of course, Dolena didn’t know anything about her own life, but this girl knew her, and even if she hated her, how could she possibly be so callus? Still, she didn’t let it show on her face. “That’s what loathing means, doesn’t it?” She asked, though, the question was rhetorical. “Well, please, don’t feel obligated to spend time here on my account. I don’t know you from Merlin and if we really aren’t close, I don’t think I’ll be terribly bothered that you don’t visit again.”

“I miss you more than a piano misses a chord“
“I’m sorry, do I know you?”

Evan nodded his head a little before answering. “You could say that. But we haven’t played together yet.” Right as he said the words, he almost regretted it. It must be hard already for her, saying that was probably not going to help her. “There’s going to be people to help you around. We’re not going to let you down like that.” He replied, giving a small shrug. He could hardly imagine the whole house letting her down, they’d be there for her. At least some of them.
Dolena rolled her eyes, “Are you sure you aren’t my replacement.” She laughed, not really affected by his words. “I don’t know, it seems that I don’t have too many friends. But, hopefully I’ll get my memory back and I won’t have to deal with that for long.”

“If they are capable of magic, then it is in their blood. It doesn’t matter if they are born from muggles or witches, they have it in them. Just like you.” She said before letting out a small scoff. “The key point is the past tense here. Because it’s all in the past. They’ve changed, they’ve evolved, unlike you purists. They would be far more understanding now than they were then. You are the monsters now.”
“It’s not in their bloodline, they put the rest of us at risk when their families find out, or tell others.” Dolena rolled her eyes, “Listen, you dimwitted ginger bitch, there is a reason we are still in hiding and it’s not because they’re understanding. Maybe ask some of those little mudbloods you associate yourself with. See how many of their families hate them for what they are. I want to protect the people I love. Their parents...well, some of them are so accepting of what their children are, what we are, that they would bury them six feet under if they could. And they’d do it to us as well, if we weren’t all hiding in the fucking shadows.”
r-dolphuslestrange:
Every day since the Quidditch game, Rodolphus had paid a visit to the infirmary to check on his cousin, Dolena. Most days he came, he would see Stefan sitting at her bedside and Rodolphus would not come in as to avoid the eldest Nott. Sometimes, it was Gabrielle which he of course didn’t mind at all and the pair would sit by Dolena’s bed and just talk. Each time he came though, Dolena’s state remained the same. She wasn’t making much progress. That afternoon when Rodolphus was making his way down the corridors towards the Hospital Wing yet again, the tall figure sitting in a chair by Dolena’s bed almost startled him before he recognized the older man. He hadn’t been expecting his Uncle to be visiting Hogwarts. Instantly and as if someone cast a spell on him, Rodolphus stood up tall, fidgeting to get his crooked tie straightened before nodding in greeting at his Uncle. There was something about the man that made Rodolphus not want to get on the bad side of him. “Is she any better?” He asked curiously before making his way aorund the bed and settling into the vacant chair. “Madam Pomfrey? She’s the best healer we’ve got.” Rodolphus argued.
Hiram noticed the change in his nephew and repressed a smile, he liked having that affect on people. Slowly, the man shrugged, “She’s doing a bit better, I’m growing concerned that she isn’t awake yet. The healer assured me that she should wake up anytime now, but it’s hard for me to stay away after losing your cousin and aunt.” The man admitted, even though it was a lie. He was better off without his eldest daughter and his late wife. “Yes, Madam Pomfrey. She’s not unqualified by any means, but she is over worked, probably underpaid, and in charge of a school full of children. I just want to make sure Dolena has extra eyes on her.” The man sighed, showing a small amount of false vulnerability. It wasn’t that he didn’t love his daughter, because he did, but Hiram wasn’t so much worried about her not waking up as he was about not having her around if she didn’t. It was getting to be too late for him to take another wife, at least, one that he could admire and have more children with. “I’ve spoken with the Nott’s earlier. The girl seems to be fond of you, my boy, and of Dolena, of course, in a different manner. It’s the boy I’m skeptical about. Tell me, do you keep an eye out for your cousin around that one?”
shecarrow:
“Oh no, I’m not related to the Notts at all, though they are acquaintances of mine.” She replied with a chuckle, nodding her head a bit. “Good friend might be a bit of an understatement, really. You and I are very, very close, if you get what I mean.” Alecto murmured, winking at the other girl. “Of course, what would you like to know, darling?”
“Very close, hmm?” Dolena smiled coyly, “Maybe a kiss will awaken these memories of mine.” She suggested, and honestly, if the girl was her girlfriend, she was willing to try it so she didn’t feel so damn lost anymore. “Who do I hate?”
r-dolphuslestrange:
“It’s Rodolphus and Rabastan.” Rodolphus chuckled quietly though a frown lingered on his lips. He had heard that his cousin woke up and he had came down here to see her though only to be warned by the healer that she had suffered some memory loss. “And I am the better one of the two, plus your favorite cousin: Rodolphus.” He managed to crack a smile. “How do you feel?”
“Rodolphus, right.” She nodded, a small smile on her lips as he corrected her. “My favorite, huh? Is that why she wouldn’t stop talking about you?” Dolena teased, shaking her head. “Anyway, what were our parents thinking with these names? Dolena? Rabastan? What kind of names are these. They couldn’t just name us Alfreda and Balthazar?” She asked, honestly, they all sounded like old people names to her. “My head hurts a bit, but other than that, I’m alright. Glad for some company.”
stefannott:
“You really hate being stuck in here, don’t you?” Stefan asked as he came by to visit the girl after dinner that night. “I miss you too, more than you know.” His gaze swept the dim room, trying to see if there were any healers around turning back to her with a smile on his lips when he could spot you none. “I could take you out of here for a while if you’d like.”
Dolena sighed, nodding. “This place is so boring, and all I do is sit here and wonder how I could forget everything, you know? Like, all of these people in my life.” She admitted, resting her head back on the pillow for a moment. It felt almost cruel of her to forget. Here was this boy waiting for his best friend to wake up, and instead he got a stranger living in her body. The blue eyed girl sat up and smiled at his suggestion. “Are you kidding me? If I knew where anything was, I would have taken a hiatus from this bed days ago.”
"Do you miss me?" - Stefan
ANSWERED HERE
“I miss you more than an institutionalized person misses freedom.” Dolly said to the boy, a faint smile on her lips as she gestured to the hospital wing. “I don’t remember you, or anything, but I like it better when you’re here.”

Hiram sat beside his daughter’s bed in the school infirmary. He hadn’t managed to get rid of the Notts until a little while ago. It wasn’t the girl who bothered him so much as it was the boy, Dolena was attached to him and despite her father’s attempts to end their bond, his daughter clung tightly to the boy and Hiram hated it. His thoughts drifted to other things as he sat there, waiting for his daughter to awaken, but he was pulled from them when he heard footfalls headed in their direction. Looking over his shoulder, he spotted his nephew and smiled solemnly at the boy. “I wish we were visiting under better circumstances, my boy.” He said, gesturing for Rodolphus to take the free seat beside Dolena’s bed. Hiram got along with his nephew, he often liked to stir the pot in the boy’s favor with his sister and brother-in-law. He was admittingly jealous that they’d produced two heirs, while he and his own late wife had only produced two girls, one of which was a stain on the name. “I’ve requested that they bring in a few healers from Saint Mungo’s to keep an eye on my Dolly as well. I think the healer here is stretched a bit thin. The Board of Governors should really address that problem.”
