— { ♨ };; Ah, yes, the bar. Greed was beginning to talk about it more and more— and not even having Ling push him to do so. Honestly, what he’d said clearly made things better for the other, and even if he hadn’t said something, Ling had the feeling the sin would have figured it out on his own. Or at least would have run away.
— { ♨ };; “There’s nothing wrong with not being able to let go of things, either.” He chimed up, scratching the back of his neck. “I have a few things that I’m like that with as well. They won’t come back either.” It was extremely rare for him to bring up anything even remotely personal, let alone the particular topics he was hinting at. A solemn expression crossed his features and he sighed softly, trying to shake the thoughts from his mind.
— { ♨ };; Not long afterwards, he slumped against the other completely, nuzzling the sin’s cheek with his hair affectionately. “—I might not be the same as your old crew— but I’m here for you, remember that. You’re not as alone as you think.”
Of course, Ling had his own share of losses— Greed knew that well enough. Hell, he’d even seen one of the boy’s dearest comrades die; and he could still recall the other’s reaction very well. It wasn’t often that he heard Ling talking about these matters, though, and the sin had to admit that it surprised him a little. He knew Ling really wasn’t one to ever show or discuss his deeper feelings and thoughts. For him, it was a little different. He didn’t often discuss his thoughts and feelings, but it was a lot harder for him to actually hold them back— and at times, the sin shamefully admitted, he broke and let everything out. It was something he was working on, however.
”…I know there isn’t,” Greed said. ”Still… it’s something I’d rather not do, y’know. I don’t like longing for something I can never have.” A soft chuckle followed— his damn avarice was partially to blame for that. However, his expression soon changed back to a more serious one, and he let out a quiet sigh. ”…’S just not always fair, is it?”
He smirked again at the others affection, and Greed slowly wrapped both of his arms around the Xingese teen. ”—I know,” he responded. ”At least, ‘m starting to realise that.”
— { ♨ };; A smile finally formed across his features and he let out a small laugh as the other spoke. It was comforting to have the other at his side-- even now he could feel the homesickness diminishing with the other's words. Leaning against the other slightly, his hand slowly moved to brush up against the other's own before grasping it, thumb faintly brushing over the tattoo embedded in his skin.
— { ♨ };; "I'm glad." he stated simply, head gently resting against the other's shoulder. This was just what he needed, Greed was one of the few people Ling truly relaxed around, let alone sought physical comfort from. Perhaps it was that their bodies were the same-- giving him a sense of false security. Or maybe it was the fact that behind Greed's tough facade, he was a giant teddy bear.
