I’m just used to people being nosy, so I guess I’m kind of on the defensive. Definitely a tad bit more difficult, but I’ll make due. I know I still have my job when I leave, which is a definite plus for me. Sounds like we are. I’m glad.

Consider this me side-eying you a bit. Just a bit, so long as you take care of them, I don’t see the problem. And yes, I know that can be an innuendo, but you know what I mean. Sometimes it’s not appropriate to leave marks… sometimes.

Unless you are involved with someone you shouldn’t be involved with I don’t really see a time when it’s not appropriate to leave marks.  If it’s a when/where situation then the Dominant should already be aware and have a different plan.  That’s just my two cents though.

Samhain (/ˈsɑːwɪn, ˈsaʊɪn/; Irish: [ˈsˠəuɪnʲ] Scottish Gaelic: [ˈs̪ãũ.ɪɲ]) is a Gaelic festival marking the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter or the “darker half” of the year. Traditionally, it is celebrated from October 31st to 1 November 1st, as the Celtic day began and ended at sunset. This is about halfway between the autumn equinox and the winter solstice. It is one of the four Gaelic seasonal festivals, along with Imbolc, Bealtaine and Lughnasadh. Historically, it was widely observed throughout Ireland, Scotland and the Isle of Man. Similar festivals are held at the same time of year in other Celtic lands, for example the Brittonic Calan Gaeaf (in Wales), Kalan Gwav (in Cornwall), and Kalan Goañv (in Brittany).

Ancient Celts marked Samhain as the most significant of the four quarterly fire festivals, taking place at the midpoint between the fall equinox and the winter solstice. During this time of year, hearth fires in family homes were left to burn out while the harvest was gathered.

After the harvest work was complete, celebrants joined with Druid priests to light a community fire using a wheel that would cause friction and spark flames. The wheel was considered a representation of the sun and used along with prayers. Cattle were sacrificed, and participants took a flame from the communal bonfire back to their home to relight the hearth.

Early texts present Samhain as a mandatory celebration lasting three days and three nights where the community was required to show themselves to local kings or chieftains. Failure to participate was believed to result in punishment from the gods, usually illness or death. There was also a military aspect to Samhain in Ireland, with holiday thrones prepared for commanders of soldiers. Anyone who committed a crime or used their weapons during the celebration faced a death sentence. Some documents mention six days of drinking alcohol to excess, typically mead or beer, along with gluttonous feasts.

Mumming and guising were part of the festival, and involved people going door-to-door in costume (or in disguise), often reciting verses in exchange for food. The costumes may have been a way of imitating, and disguising oneself from, the Aos Sí. Divination rituals and games were also a big part of the festival and often involved nuts and apples. In the late 19th century, Sir John Rhys and Sir James Frazer suggested that it was the “Celtic New Year”, and this view has been repeated by some other scholars.

In the 9th century, the Western Christian church shifted the date of All Saints’ Day to November1st, while November 2nd later became All Souls’ Day. Over time, Samhain and All Saints’/All Souls’ merged to create the modern Halloween. Historians have used the name ‘Samhain’ to refer to Gaelic 'Halloween’ customs up until the 19th century.

Since the later 20th century, Celtic neopagans and Wiccans have observed Samhain, or something based on it, as a religious holiday. Neopagans in the Southern Hemisphere celebrate Samhain on or around May 1st.

People in the Canadian province of Newfoundland still practice the art of Mummering although it seems to have shifted to the time between Christmas and New Years from what I observed while up there filming a small art film.  I am guessing it could tie back to the many families roots to the countries of Ireland, England and Scotland.

I even brought back a small figurine that commemorated the act.  I am very glad to hear of where this came from.

Seein’ as it’s that time again, figured it wouldn’t hurt to make another post about this. I’m Vic Sterling, and I’m apparently runnin’ for submissive Mark Leader this go-around. I’m around if anyone wants to talk or has questions about my thoughts on the position. I’d work to make things better, and make sure stuff gets done and taken care of. I’m not a submissive but you should talk up what things you’re planning on working on to make things better and that stuff gets done and taken care of.  It sounds like you have some rather specific ideas and people would probably enjoy hearing them.

You’re the bondage teacher, right? I think I remember seeing that on the website when I was looking into the Sanctuary. That’s such a big thing, Coop. I’m proud of you and Ellis, you’ve both come such a long way. 

He’s our little sibling, no shame in checking up on him. I’d text and call every now and again to see how he’s been too, but I’m happy he had you here in person. He’s really smitten with his Dom, it seems.

That I can do Blainers. We could all take a West Coast trip.  Some sand, surf and sun.  And the Anderson siblings.  

I am.  Like I said, I was looking to take a little break from the hustle and bustle of LA and reconnect with my Dominant roots.  And I have a fair bit of knowledge and skill in this area from .... well let’s call it a character study for a role.  Els has really come a long way.  It’s great to see.  

I’ve only been here about two months now I’d say?  Smitten?  He told me he loves him.  Yeah I  guess you could say that.

Well well well, Cooper Anderson. It’s nice to see you. I can’t really answer that expect for with, it depends on why you think I’m here. If it’s because I just wanted to expand my knowledge, then lets say, no it’s not wrong at all. I am more than happy to get to know you better for a collaboration. In fact, I insist on it.

Now now, it depends on what fashion accessories. If you say silk scarves, well that’s just smart thinking, because when used right they tend not to leave marks.

No judgements as to why people are here.  There are many reasons and they’re all valid.  But it’s not New York so I can imagine it’s a little more difficult to work here.  Good, sounds like we’re on the same page then.

Scarves, belts, ties, all spring to mind.  Because sometimes, I definitely want to leave marks.

Hey, Coop! KSU was great. Just difficult enough to pose a challenge, but not enough so to keep me from graduating at the top of my class. 

I’m so happy it’s over, but I miss some of the friends I made along the way. However, this campus is so pretty, and everyone I’ve met so far has been so nice.

How has life treated you since we last saw each other?

Hey that’s great Squirt!  I’m so proud of you.  

The campus here is beautiful and the people are pretty great.  It’s different from Hollywood, I’ll say that though.  

Things are good.  I decided to take a hiatus from persuing acting, felt a need to get back in touch with my Dominant side and given some experience I’ve had in Hollywood, I applied for a job here that I had seen come up, especially since E was here.  Not that I was only checking up on Ellis though!

We all just got back from Florida.  It was a nice time.  I’ve been getting to know a little better someone I’d met in LA before.  We worked together on a couple of different projects over the last couple of years.  So that’s been good.
