Hospital Food || Georgina & Dominic
Georgie’s smile grew with every word Dom spoke about his grandfather and Max. Deep down she knew that Senior Max would adore Junior Max. The man had a heart of gold and would surely fall in love the second he laid eyes on his great grand-son. A few years back, it was a running joke amongst Dom’s grandfather and brother that if Georgie and Dom were to ever have a little boy, they would be in for a treat— in the worst way possible. Therefor, Georgie nodded. ” Oh, I’m sure he will. Apparently you were a handful as a child. I remember him telling me stories about you climbing trees and refusing to come down.” She made a mental note to check the tree branches beside her house and make sure to cut the ones Max could reach. It was best to be safe than sorry.
" He’s your son. He doesn’t need to know anymore. It must be in his genes or something. The last thing I need is for him to get into anymore fights. Especially not this young. I’m sure he’ll be a handful when he’s a teenager." She paused." I need to keep some energy for when the time comes." The smile she wore quickly faded as the subject turned serious. Something in writing? It took her a moment to realize what he meant, and immediately, her head began to shake as if to say no. " Dom. Don’t talk like that. You need to focus on getting better. And, I don’t need anything. You don’t owe—" Georgie trailed off, frowning when she realized what he had said about the Gym. " Something happened to your Gym?"Â
He had only mentioned the fact that he had pissed off the wrong person. Which she assumed meant that he had gotten in a fight and the other guy looked far worse, which was scary enough. But, if something had happened to his Gym amidst all of this, it seemed to be a lot more serious than she had previously thought. ” You’ll get out of here soon and you’ll focus on getting better. Getting healthy again. That’s all that really matters. ” He would need physical therapy by the look of his hands and battered body, which could be hard, especially for a fighter who might not regain the same force or agility to do certain movements as before. “I know. You’ll be fine. I know you will.”
"I was.. the best child to ever grace the planet. A parent's dream, if mine had actually been around." He was lying of course, Dom was well aware he wasn't the most docile kid, raising the most hell when he became a teenager. His comment about his parents was said without an ounce of sadness, having long gotten over it. In fact, he considered himself lucky that, unlike Georgie, he'd had his grandfather looking out for his best interests. "Hey, I'd eventually come down.. just not the way granddad preferred." Dominic made an attempt to lift his arms to suggest jumping from a great height was his way of descending from the tallest point in a tree, however a sharp jolt of pain attacked both hands at once. For a man who was prone to using hand gestures to explain everything, this was but another problem. Dominic had remained silent allowing Georgie the final word on their son's fighting skills. It wasn't as if he could do anything about it right then, trapped in a hospital bed. But there were plans he had in mind that wouldn't be derailed, no matter how much she protested. Again, he kept mum on it for the time being.. everything would have to wait until he was on the mend. Dominic was surprised Georgie wasn't aware of what had happened with the gym, figuring it would be all over the news. "It burnt down. The gym is gone, Georgie." Quick to follow up, Dominic opened his eyes and looked directly at her, wanting to express how serious the situation was. "But it won't be gone for long. I already know what I'm going to do. I'll be back on top in no time, don't worry. Everything is.. going to be normal again. Well.. as normal as it can be." Dom forced a grin and then sighed, lowering his gaze in thought.
"Anyway.. enough worrying now. What's it going to take to get you to sneak me in some Chinese take-out and a bottle of saki?"Â

Walter: Hospital? Don't even need 20. I'm on my way.
Dominic: Awesome. Stop and pick up a twelve pack while you're at it and your name will have a heart emoji beside it in my phone from now on.
I wish you well on this mission you’ve chose to accept. I bet you are persistent.
London has been fine. Got a little place to myself, found the person I was looking for, all in all, its been pretty nice actually. How have you been lately?
Ah, you found a place. You know what you should do? Throw a party. A housewarming party. A flat warming party. What have you. You found..? [snaps his fingers in recollection] That's right. You were here on some mysterious quest. Was it what you expected.. finding what you were looking for?Â
Me? Eh. Somehow I land on my feet.Â

Ariana's Redux || Dominic & Winnie
Dominic was still in no condition to do much of anything.. outside collecting a few things from Ariana's. He missed working. Now his days were an endless stream of daytime television, subway rides to occupational therapy sessions, and begging his neighbor to assist with minor help around his apartment when needed. All time fillers he'd never hoped to experience in his life. Despite the brutal injuries to his hands he was healing. It was the one bright spot through the entire ordeal, and that small bit of hope was keeping him going in the meantime. He was still technically on a long and unpaid ''vacation'' from the club. With his mangled hands Dominic was no use at the door. But there was a draw to the place that was unavoidable especially in his state. It wasn't the desire necessarily to check i.d.'s or shoot menacing glares at patrons who were getting too grabby with the dancers (a glare would be all he could muster right now). Dominic needed to be somewhere. Anywhere. Any place except at home staring at the walls and going over and over the points on which he'd fucked up royally and gained more broken bones than he'd ever sustained even in the toughest match of his life. Funny. In a way, he was in it now. And so he found himself at Ariana's being allowed in with a nod by a co-worker and shot a glass of whiskey across the bar from the tender. The bandages were off but his hands were swollen with bits of metal exposed, the mechanics that now held his bones in place while they underwent the almost unbearably slow healing process. A constant source of pain that would be dulled in part by the booze he brought to his lips while scanning the club. It was early and there was a slow trickle of customers coming in. As he leaned against the bar a small but entirely familiar figure was moving through the shadows, and he couldn't help but smile.Â
Hospital Food || Georgina & Dominic
His explanation of the events did nothing to put her at ease. Remaining still in her seat, Georgie eyed him closely. Whom could he have pissed off so much? The mob!? Obviously someone strong enough to beat him to a pulp. He looked pretty bad now, she could only imagine how bad it had been three days prior. Also someone powerful enough to get away with it, the thought made her nervous. Nodding and giving in to his demand, Georgie did her best to ignore the tone of voice he had used to tell her he’d prefer not to talk about the situation at hand right away. A tone that could have broken her heart is she had let it. ” Okay. We won’t.” She muttered softly.Â
Georgie’s hand rested tenderly on his forearm. She was glad he wasn’t in any kind of pain, the morphine seemed to be working wonders for him. He seemed almost happy, especially when the subject turned, and his usual lopsided, easygoing grin touched his features once again. Which in turn, made her smile. ” All that matters is that you’re okay. I’m so happy you’re okay.” The weight was slowly lifting off her shoulder, there was no where to go but up at this point. His injuries would heal and hopefully he would return to being the same old Dominic. Although she knew he was still haunted by the death of his brother and recent ex-girlfriend, he hid the pain well. Still going through each day with a smile and a laugh. Well, when he was with her at least, he truly was the strongest person she knew, which is exactly why she was sure he would be okay at the end of all of this.Â
" It does…" She trailed off when he mentioned marrying him and how it was her fault. Not taking it as a jab or insult, she simply arched her eyebrow in a smug look and leaned back in her chair, pulling away from him. " Let’s not point finger, Mr. Levi. We both vividly remember who broke up with who." She smiled, hoping he would not take it as a jab either. Quickly turning the subject towards something a little more uplifting, Georgie laughs," Sounds like your grandfather. I can’t wait to see him. I’ve missed him so much, even more than I’ve missed you." She teased, her smile faltering for a few seconds. " That’s fine. I won’t tell him anything. I’ll let you do that. He would love Max, wouldn’t he? I can’t wait to see his face when he finds out his great-grandson is named after him. I think he’ll cry." The thought was enough for to forget their surroundings, if only for a brief second. Her wide smile quickly turns into a straight line as the bedridden Dominic becomes all too supportive of his son’s recent show of violence. " He didn’t… You can’t be encouraging him to do things like that. You wouldn’t want him to piss off the wrong people." His words were used against him, and she sighed at herself for using such an awful tactic, before leaning forward once again. Finally, giving in, like she always would. " He gave the kid a bloody nose. Hopefully, that cheers you up. And, no. There are classes, but no."
Dominic was grateful she didn't press for an explanation. Not now. Knowing Georgie, eventually he'd have to give some sort of answer but it would have to wait. Remaining silent throughout the discussion of the break up, he only nodded. There was a sense of being trapped in the hospital bed, hooked up to various lines that restrained him there plus the distant throb of pain in body. He was thankful that Georgie at least held back in a sense, allowing him to skate by on his easy smiles and offering silence as replies. Truth was, Dom was drained. It was hard to do anything at the moment but submit to that comfortable, drug-induced sleep he was beginning to truly appreciate. Speaking of his grandfather and son was actually a comfort now. "He will love Max, of course. I'm sure in a way he'll feel this is some sort of karma for.. my reckless ways.. payback, perhaps." Dom's words grew softer as his eyes closed. "Granddad has missed you too, you know. He'll be happy you're back.." Back but for how long was the real question. There was still the feeling he was walking a thin line with Georgie. Especially when it was brought to his attention once more that his actions had landed him in the hospital. Cracking his eyes again, his smile had faded, growing thinner, but it was still present. "I just want the kid to be able to defend himself, is all. Sounds like he did a pretty good job of it. So yeah, I'm proud. And yeah.. he doesn't need classes, I can show him a few things myself."  Suddenly, there was a shift in the conversation. Not unusual for Dom considering an already short attention span was now affected by being cooped up in the hospital room. His words now held more urgency. "I'm getting out of here soon. And when I do.. I want to get something in writing. For Max. Some security for him.." Dom didn't mean for his words to be ominous but there was no other way to put it. "For you too. And I'm already working on a plan to open the gym again. Everything will be alright, I'll get it together, Georgie." In a way, his words were meant to assure not just Georgina, but also himself.Â
-chuckles, shaking her head- Nothing at all. I’ve seen my fair share. You are more than welcome to try to find something.
Done, Sophia. This shall be my mission, and I must warn you I'm pretty persistent. So, what else is new? How's London been treating you?

Walter: InSominic? Is that you?
Walter: Give me twenty minutes to wrap up this meeting and I'll ring.
Walter: Or we can keep texting so I don't fall asleep. Your pick.
Dominic: Call me in 20, I've missed your voice. Or if you want to come down to the hospital to spoon that'd be good too ;)

Tender || Dominic & Georgie
She wasn’t sure if she had heard him correctly, but she could have sworn he had said he had missed her as well. She didn’t ask for him to repeat it. The mere thought of him saying the same words brought a smile to her face and it was enough, for now. The fact that they were facing several large and very rusted roller coasters wasn’t helping her to focus on anything else, either. Glancing around, she realized that the set up seemed to be exactly the same. From the games to the old roller coaster that brought the same, if not more, fear than the last time they were here. ” With their walkers? If I see someone with a walker, we’re walking right out of here.” She gave him a look, trying to stay as seriously as she could, Georgie finally broke into a smile. Somehow she knew she wouldn’t be leaving the park without at least getting on one ride. The biggest and most scariest one if Dominic had his way, and let’s face it. He would.Â
Every sound and smell brought back memories from that night, both of them holding hands like they had many years ago. She could remember how shy she had been during the beginning of that night but still held his hand and wouldn’t let go. It had taken her no more than half an hour to come out of her shell. Dominic had a way about him that could make you feel comfortable and at ease. A hidden talent that she wasn’t sure he even knew about. ” Are you kidding me? I had a crush on you for quite some time. Not that I would have ever admitted it to you. Plus, you won me that teddy bear and I almost fell in love with you right there and then.” She teased. Staying in pace beside him, Georgie squeezed his hand and narrowing her eyes when he mentioned the woman, she leaned forward to look at his features, trying to read them to decipher if he was lying or not. ” You wouldn’t bring me here if someone had died. … Would you?” She sighed in desperation as they moved closer to the biggest roller coasters. Her eyes followed his gaze towards the man, recognizing him immediately. ” Oh yeah! He looks really good. Wait.. No. Dom. Are you being serious? Shit. Fine. Only one roller coaster, and not a big one. Just one, Dom. One!” Turning in the direction where they had seen the elder man, Georgie shook her head, knowing she might as well have just sighed her own death warrant. ” I might have a heart attack. I feel like we should do a prayer. Do you know one?”Â
He listened quietly as she recalled memories from that night long ago. It was funny to think if he hadn't taken the chance to even bring her here there would be no three year old in his arms right now. Perhaps he was coming to terms with it all. Dom never imagined himself a father but now he was beginning to enjoy it. Or at least the possibilities that were before him. Still a little surreal but.. gradually he had accepted what had come to pass. Laughing at the notion of her admittance to a crush, he made his own confession. "Well.. let's just say I noticed you for a while before daring to ask. And if you're lucky maybe I'll win you something tonight too."Â His easy going expression turned to amusement once Georgie began to wrap her mind around the situation ahead of them. "One roller coaster.. the biggest one. The one that will certainly shake the bolts out of the track on the way down the steepest hill." He knew an easy shortcut through the small fair, and after leaving the boy with his friend he took Georgie directly there. "A prayer? All I know is, 'Good bread, good meat, good God let's eat.' You can blame the old man for that one. But I don't think a prayer will help you now. No one will be able to hear you over your screams." Snaking his way through the crowd he held on to her hand as if she were going to attempt escape from their fate on the way. Once arriving at the ride he guided her through the winding rows and turnstiles used to provide some organization for a line that wasn't there. When he saw the cars waiting and the front one completely empty, his began to walk quicker. "Yes, front of the coaster.. perfect place for you." Spinning through the last turnstile between them and the coaster, he hopped eagerly into that front car and slide far over, waving a hand to gesture to Georgie that she sit beside him. "Any last words, Miss Perreault?"Â
A heart that’s full up like a landfill A job that slowly kills you Bruises that won’t heal
Hospital Food || Georgina & Dominic
Her eyes immediately narrowed as he started to think back on how many days he’d been in the hospital. ” 3 days..” She shook her head and glanced at the white board just as he echoed her thoughts. It had been four days. Without her knowledge, he had obviously gone through several surgeries. Serious ones at that, life threatening ones. ” Something could have happened to you.. ” Her voice broke and she looked away, clearing her throat before finishing her sentence. ” I wouldn’t have even known.” Blinking a few times as tears threatened to spill, she finally returned her gaze to his once she regained control over her emotions. Her eyes ran down his body, taking a mental note of the bandages and bruises along his body, what wasn’t covered by the blanket laid over him. ” What happened? How did this happen?” It was the question she’d been wanting to ask since her arrival but was afraid to. Not wanting to bring back whatever traumatic experience he had gone through within the last few days.
The corner of her lips rose when he started lifting the blankets. ” I don’t think that’s such a good idea, Mr. Levi.  Once you’re healed and well again, then we’ll talk.” She smiled, playing along. ” Georgina Levi. I always thought it had a nice ring to it.”As she sat back down, her eyes scanned over the room. Only now noticing a card, books, a pair of glasses. Max had been here recently, and had apparently stayed by Dominic’s side for quite some time. Objects of his were spread across the room, only recognizing them because they weren’t anything Dominic would wear or own.” I can’t wait to see your grandfather. I just wish it was under different circumstances…  ” Trailing off, her fingers played with the hem of her shirt. Although she knew Max would be happy to have a great-grandson, she couldn’t help but feel frightened. He would most likely be disappointed in her, for leaving and stealing such precious time away from him and Dominic with the youngest Max. A thought she refused to let blossom ” Okay. I’ll be here all night. So, we can talk all you want.  Oh. Guess what happened yesterday? Max punched a little kid, because the little boy stole his superman figurine. ” Shaking her head, she sighed. ” Oh, and he smiled while apologizing.”Â
She was right. Well, eventually she would've known. Dominic had yet to explain to his grandfather that he was now a great-grandfather. He'd stalled not because he feared the reaction.. the elder Max Levi adored Georgie, and would truly be thrilled with a child in the family. It was such an awkward situation to have to explain, and Dominic had yet to find the right time. Perhaps now would be the moment. It was an instance like this that, if he were in a more coherent state of mind, would make him think. He had a child, one he'd barely had the chance to know. Everything was different now.. he was responsible to someone. And then.. the other awkward explanation: how did this happen? The less she knew the better - mainly for her own protection. Dominic wasn't even sure how he was going to proceed with Beaudelaire. Would Jean be hell-bent on returning to finish the job once he knew Dominic had survived? Or had he spared his life on purpose, taking him to the brink of death with the realization that injuring him via the destruction of the gym would be far worse to live with? Dominic still wasn't aware of how he'd made it out alive to begin with. It would seem he had more questions than answers to give to the raven-haired woman right now. "Uhm.. I pissed someone off. Fucked with the wrong person. I don't want to talk about it right now." He spoke in an unusually quiet tone. Looking away, he hoped the short answer would suffice for now. When the conversation shifted he smiled. "It does have a ring to it, you should've married me but that's all your fault." He meant it in jest but only after the words left his mouth did he realize it could've been a jab rather than a joke. Their relationship wasn't as tenuous as it once was but the dissolving of their bond wasn't a wound he wanted to reopen. Instead, he focused on his grandfather. "The old man has been sleeping in a chair every night. I told him to go home and get some sleep but knowing him he'll turn up soon. I.. haven't told him just yet. About Max. But I will. Once I'm out of here, I'll let him know." Finally his smile grew broader.. partly in thought of having Georgie near, as much as he didn't want to admit it to her. And of course knowing his kid had defended himself gave him a bit of thrill. "Did he now? Tell me he laid the kid out and you'll make me a happy man." He paused after a thought. "Do they have kung fu classes for three year olds?"Â

Dominic: Walter it's Sominic can you call me as soon as you can?
Dominic: Who the fuck is Sominic?
Dominic: Fucking technology
That’d be lovely to see more of the city. Oh that’d be great! Blood doesn’t bother me, well really nothing bothers me. I do need to do that so I don’t go stir crazy.
Alright.. then I'll keep it in mind. And make sure I dig up something that really does bother you, because I don't believe there's nothing that doesn't creep you out.Â
September 13, 2014 Location: Soho & Camden Dominic has now been out of the hospital for a few weeks. He continues to visit the occupational therapist for injuries suffered to his hands and upper body three times a week. He is on the mend physically, and slowly he is beginning to re-organize mentally after Jean Beaudelaire's attack.
Mood: Quietly determined; Dominic is definitely not the happy-go-lucky fighter he once was. However, he aims to not only return to form, but to re-invent himself and return stronger than ever, applying this state of mind to all areas of his life.Â
Substances: Thankful to have been blissfully unaware in the hospital while his body adjusted to the lack of stimulants that once ruled his bloodstream and brain, he continues to rely on painkillers to make it through the day. However, now out of the hospital, the old craving has returned. It's the only thing certain to lift the mood he's been left in after the attack, and given him the mental stamina needed to rebuild. For now he continues to rely on the painkillers that have brought something new to his life, something he hasn't experienced regularly in years: solidly sound and dreamless sleep.
Other: His first stop after leaving the hospital was to see the left-over rubble of what was the gym. Charred remains exist where once the seed of his hope had been planted. But he's wasted no time in laying the ground work for a new gym and location. He's lost half the fighters on his roster due to the aftermath of his arrest during the last event as well as the destruction by fire of what was once a thriving MMA organization. But the young fighter remains undeterred. It's a fresh start he has in mind, and even in the hospital he was developing a plan of action. This, his role in Walter's drug business, and continuing to mend fences/build a relationship with Georgie and his son are what he's focused on to keep going.
